What changed?

What exactly changed this year from last year? You added some new podcast? Who cares. I'm sure most of us skip them anyways. I'm glad to see you finally got rid of the DD [censored] in my ball player. But what exactly did they add? This live stream is literally them showing stuff that's been in the game for years. Pulling a EA and trying to sell old features as new? Still no real kind of story mode or decision system. No interviews, no personality types, no agent selection, no endorsement deals, no off field choices... nothing. Get rid of this dumb archetype/rewards [censored]. Its corny and arcade like. No Russell Ramone or whatever the hell your name is, Nobody like perks. lol. This series has gone downhill so bad,

DD is still tied to ballplayer. That's why they have 255 perks and equipment to sell you instead of letting RTTS players just create a character and get all attributes up to 99 without headache or a whole math equation to know your attributes.

lmao they even said "We listen to the community" F*ING BULLST

Well yeah true. But I'm just glad we don't have to take our player in DD just to make them better. ugh its so annoying. Watching what once was a great game mode, turn into some [censored] I'd expect to find in a Madden game. Not an MLB series. .

I don’t want a story mode. 2k does a story mode and it’s cringe. Madden did a story mode the last few years and it was cringe. Just let me play a career.

Being tied to DD is not what limited the RTTS player from getting all attributes up to 99. It was the introduction of Archetypes and equipment that did away with the old methods of RTTS.

I agree that the introduction of archetypes in 18 and beyond is a far inferior system than training points was. 18 was terrible. 19 and 20 were better by default because you could raise all attribute caps to 99 eventually.
But the ludicrous Sh*t sandwich of an archetype system they gave us in 21 with 30 total archetypes and a bajillion perks and hours upon hours of monotonous grinding without the ability to get to 99 overall in as many attributes as you wanted was implemented entirely because 'DD CAP plays an MLB career' is what SDS decided to make RTTS now.

I know people vary on what they would like in RTTS. I will be honest I have more fun playing in the minors in RTTS. I make it to majors i usually start over. But i will say i did like some things from old way like depending how well you did in the showcase determined what round you went in. Still not sure how i feel about archetypes, points being used where you wanted also to some degree was good but had annoying things as well.
I would personally like to see it take longer to get to majors. Seemed like when relationships just started to get good either get traded or sent up. I know that you get at bat, fielding, boosts to attributes from relationships but overall it's kinda pointless until you get to Majors.
