Correa, Story, Freeman obviously the big ones. Where do you see them landing?

Honestly I can see Correa back in Houston on a 1 year deal 30-35 mil because of his agent situation.

Story I have no clue. And can kinda see him going to NYY, unless they are really gonna roll with Kiner-Falefa. Then again if the Yanks are really interested in Correa, as hypocritical as it sounds it still reeks of something the Yanks would do, I could see possibly the Yanks giving Correa 1 year and then possibly long extension next Winter.

Freeman I am hearing Dodgers are interested, of course the Yankees, but I think he ends up back in ATL.

These are all really interesting because of the lockout and the fact that the other free agents were swooped up while these three either held out or their market just hadn't really developed. Look at Kershaw, a lot of people thought he was going to Texas with Seager and he's back with LA on a 1 year deal.

I think you've got something with Correa, he's still really young and he could bank on himself to have a strong year and go back in when the SS market isn't so crowded. I think Trea Turner is a free agent next year but I'm willing to bet LA gets a deal done on an extention during the season. If not, 2 prize shortstops are nothing compared to Story, Correa, Baez, Semien and Seager.

If Correa does decide to get his big bag now, I can see The Cubs building their next team around him. Detroit could move Baez to second and have their bedrock for the next 8-10 years.
But ultimately I think he ends up an Astro at least for 1 year.

I hate to say and I hope I'm wrong but I think Freeman is gonna be a Dodger or a Yankee. Not a chance h3ll, but I wish the Padres would land him or obviously it would be great if he went back to the Braves. But for the first time in a long time, I feel like the Yankees legitimately have a need and this would not be overspending to get him. And the Dodgers seem to be the main player right now.

Story.....oy, I really want the Cardinals to nab him, no clue why they haven't gone all in. Dejong is not the answer. Reunite Story and Arenado. The Red Sox have been linked to him, maybe he'd move to 2B to be in that lineup. And I've heard the Twins are interested.

Now, finally the biggest free agent....Pujols. I am kidding of course, but I'm intrigued. As a Cardinals fan it would be great to see him in the dugout and DHing against lefties, but I would think his best path to 700 is in Colorado where they love to provide a lineup spot for aged sluggers....remember Giambi, Matt Holliday Mark Reynolds, etc etc.

What other notable free agents are out there? Kris Bryant, Nick Castellanos, Michael Conforto and Kenley Jansen are the most notable I believe.

I waffle on this mainly for one reason. Is Story going to give us 20 million dollars worth of projected value above Dejong. Dejong makes under 5 million a year and Story is projected to make like 25 million. Plus, three out of four of the Cardinals top prospects are infielders.

I think there are options this year. If Dejong flames out then Sosa will be a backup. If Gorman is MLB ready then he could take over at 2B and Edman could shift to SS.

Plus tying up too much money could be a mistake. Remember that they may need to go looking for a Pitcher and Catcher next season to replace Wainwright and Molina.
