But it's nice to see your team headed in an exciting direction. Semien and Seager along with Adolis and Nate Lowe are a nice nucleus for a strong team as the Astros age out.

Hey! Sir!.. Alvarez, Bregman, Tucker, Forest Whitley, Garcia, Valdez, they still got some young'ns. Semien, Seager and Adolis and Garver are up there with Altuve.
Rangers will be fun though.

Hahahaha, yeah you're right. The Astros have become that team that always has new young guns coming up. I think that because Springer is gone, Correa is soon to be gone and all the aces from a few years ago are gone or old.
And yet, there's always more talent on the way. And they're in their 3rd WS in 5 years.
A Texas rivalry will be fun in a few years.

Yeah, I live in the DFW area now. Would like a reason to go to the new ballpark.

I think we’ve seen this movie before in the 2000 baseball season when the Texas Rangers signed Alex Rodriguez to join a lineup that already contained Rafael Palmeiro and Ivan Rodriguez, among others. And the end result suggests that you aren’t going very far if you can’t get anyone out.
After all, there’s only so many 10 - 9 games you can win.

I totally agree, that signing was a catastrophe from the second he signed. The first thing I said was "but he doesn't pitch!" Which was what we desperately needed back then. That also is the one big difference though, we actually have some good pitching prospects about ready to come up. Back then our minors where a desert for talent.

So the Twins trade Garver for Falefa and 2 days later trade Falefa, Donaldson and Ben Rortvedt to the Yankees for Gary Sanchez and Gio Urshela? What are the Twins doing? This doesn't seem like much of a upgrade to me at least lol
Garvers numbers from last season - 13 HRs, 35 RBI's, 256 BA
Sanchez's numbers - 23 HRs, 54 RBI's but a BA of 204Now that I look more closely at the Twins 2 recent trades this could be a salary dump to chase after Trevor Story.
