Why are you playing the game via WiFi, also how far away is the router from where you’re playing? The further away from the router you are the less stable the connection is. And the network card on these consoles are not the best making WiFi gaming even more of a crapshoot. If you’re connection to your router is -70 rssi or lower then you will have serious connection issues. You can see this number if you log into your router and look at the connected devices tab. Generally speaking you don’t want to game on a wireless connection. It’s just too erratic.

I would imagine most people play without a wired connection. [censored], I don't even have a wired option if I wanted to. I honestly have not had noticeable problems playing online while being wireless.

Yeah, I definitely have to use WiFi to play. I'm no computer genius...how would one use a wired option, just by plugging directly into the router? Like I said....I know nothing Jon Snow. I'm in the next room from the router and generally don't have problems, every once in a while, I get booted from a game and have to restart but then it's fine again.

I've been playing on Wifi for years and have never had an issue. Definitely don't NEED a wired connection

Yes, Ethernet cable plugged into back of PS then directly to router. Many different cat types so best option would depends on specs of your service. Don’t need need cable to handle 40Gbps if incoming service only provides 10.
