It definitely helps to hold R2, then do the PCI anchor. I also had trouble locking it without that.
The anchor does shift the area the PCI can reach slightly. It's noticeable if you switch the anchor from one corner to another.

PCI Anchor is a nice addition!

I just hope that they make it so the game remembers where you set your PCI Anchor. Because right now it's annoying to have to keep setting it every AB. I wish it would just stay where I set it to initially until I change it manually.

This. Without a lock feature it is going to make the game an R2 festival.

It’s an incredible feature as it helps batting and also reduces repetitive strain, this little stuff has me hype for the new game. However, I think it could be a bit more sensitive to activate while pressing down the L stick with your non-dominant thumb.

It stays the same the whole AB. Then you can set it for your next bater. Its really quick and easy to set. Just push in L3 and move to the area you want to set it and let go. You can even set it after the pitcher is pitching.

I love this idea in theory. There’s no worse feeling than predicting exactly what is coming and still not being able to touch it.

It’s almost like guess pitch though. I mean I like the idea in theory, but it will be interesting to see how this effects online play.

Difference with guess pitch is there’s an audio cue that tells you if you guessed right or wrong before the ball even leaves the hand and also if you guess right you’re attributes are boosted for that swing. With this it’s not really any more advantageous than it would be to just hold the thumb stick in the location you want.

I came here to say the exact same thing. Either have it locked all game until changed be able to lock it to one spot for righties and another spot for lefties
