Like if you think the games is just going to be copy and paste + 90 bucks for roster updates?

Well considering I have Xbox cloud gaming on PC it won't be $90 for me, but I will probably try Franchise mode for a bit and if I see the same things from last years game, I will not be shocked.
They need customization for Franchise mode
ability to have random schedule With or without interleague
Expansion teams
relocation
Division and league realignment
No DH or standard ALL DH rules
NO 3 batter face rule for RP
Keep shifts in game, default is to have them off but you can enable if you want them
Better sliders so you can have a more hits, less Ks, less walks, more SBs more triples type of league. -

If it is just a copy paste then I won't be buying because 21 was by far the worst MLB The Show I have ever played.
you did not play 18

It’s so frustrating, I personally have negative hype for release this year. I don’t care about the most recent legend announcement or next reveal or gimmick. I been saying it for years, but making the gameplay fun (specifically the hitting) should have been the priority and it seems so far off the radar now with the money making monster DD has become.
Make the PCI the bat, and let ball trajectories mimmick real life based on the PCI placement. That alone would make the game infinitely more fun. I would have more fun doing batting practice seeing the ball come off the bat differently and accurately every time vs the random outcomes the game is based off now in flashy modes with flashy cards. Hitting bombs randomly vs popping up arbitrarily is pointless.
Make the center of the sweetspot microscopic, who cares. As long as if the PCI placement dictates the trajectory of the ball it will be satisfying. Make the ratings affect the exit velos and size of the sweetspot but make our inputs actually matter and mimmick real life. That’s baseball. The way it is now, it’s an RPG/stratomatic, algorithim, ai feed back loop.
Zero hype. Zero point zero.

New announcers, revamped play-by-play, new player celebrations, revamped crowd animations only to have night game lighting to be the same...dark and...dark. What's the point of revamping the crowd animations especially for the postseason and for there to be that immersive feel if you can't see the crowd in the ballpark? I think I said last year that Brewer Field was dark. I see video for 22 and its like they made it darker. I just don't get it. What's so hard giving the stadiums a bit more life and vibrancy by giving the bleacher seats and seats around the field more lighting? You can develop all these cool new features and have pitcher camera angles that matches every team's actual broadcast camera but can't match the actual night game lighting for each team? You can fix that in a simple patch. At this point, they're just doing it on purpose because there's no way you can have people on various platforms make the same complaint for years and on your website board and not rectify such a small issue? But can give us new modes, animations and commentary but not see that night games look like a mausoleum? It's like are we dealing with an art department for a video game or am I on the wrong board? Mind-boggling. You can just watch an actual games and see the difference.

Looks like they've done very little to Franchise. Finally added multiple years on MTO But thats about it. In a interview the guy keep using the excuse they are trying to get the basics perfect. They are basically building the foundation first. So since SDS is admitting its not a finished product, will that be reflected in the price? Or are we expect to shall out $70 every year for a half finished game?
I wonder if they will once again make RTTS somehow worse. They absolutely destroyed that mode. It's horrible. Only reason I'm even considering this game is I want a PS5 version of the Show to play. Plus Mets made some great roster moves.

It was so bad. There was a glitch in RTTS where your stats weren't counting towards your perks. (which is the dumbest idea they could have possibly done. Go back to the old system of leveling up your player) And I am not sure they ever even fixed it. I quit playing that garbage game a month after release. Went back like 7 months later and the glitch still wasn't fixed. Tons of new DD content though.

Your 100% correct and this has been wanted for years. Why they stick to the RNG fest we have is beyond me.
Only thing I can think of is the “you would have football game scores” crowd that’s in love with the simulation having complete control of the game.
User input needs to be number one. If someone can center up every pitch, so be it, why would you not reward them for doing so? That’s literally the point of hitting in this game.

I played 18. It was a masterpiece compared to last year. And at least I could actually play it.

Bro same. I deleted the game after a month because I could not play it. RTTS was ruined, but it is still my favorite mode and I would have stuck with it, but it was literally unplayable for the first month of release. The RTTS stream is going to be the make or break factor for me.

If you are talking strictly RTTS then ok, I have not played that mode for like 3 years now since they changed it from points for upgrading. As far as DD 18 was the worst

Yeah I'm unsure about this years game. MTO is cool and all. But not nearly enough control. DD is fun. But not enough single player stuff. I could careless about playing against dudes who play videogames all day long. And franchise just sucks. They finally made a few changes. But nothing worth $70.
