That's where the digital version comes in handy!

Exactly. And I can't say no to Mike Trout's taint.

You'll be the first to P5 with it, I'm sure.

This game is absolutely trash and has been since 2018. People buy it because it’s the only baseball game available once again. They are trending towards EA’s model, bad games but it’s the only thing available so we are golden. So 22 will be trash and people will flock to it because SDS will promise new shiny additions. This is the first year since I started playing this game in 06 that I’m not excited.

Well, that cartoon baseball game is pretty good -- actually has a lite franchise mode, too.
Or, if you love franchise, OOTP.

When good user input is constantly punished and bad user input is constantly rewarded, it makes for terrible online play.

That, and attributes that don't matter.
And gameplay so stale that I dont know how anyone plays 9 whole innings watching the same plays happen over and over again. And then one random home run...then back to the monotonous plays over and over.

I’d love to see more gappers on good/goods

Literally hall of fame and up is miserable in 21. Don’t know how many non pci homeruns I’ve seen, yet my Tyler O’Neill squares one up near perfect for a flyout not even in the 100mph range

They need to take out RNG. No reason for someone to hit a homer when the ball is completely outside the inner circle. And the PCI contact shows 11 for it.

This game cannot exist without RNG, the stats themselves on cards are RNG, Mike Trout has more power then Amed Rosario, that power means that when good contact is made, Trout has more of a chance to hit a home run then Amed. That's what a lot of RNG is, it's not actually "random", it's percentages and stats.

When good contact is not made, and still goes for a homer, do you call that poor coding or too much RNG? I'm not talking about putting a good swing on the ball, that's fine. But it's when the game tells you when a poor swing will result in a better than expected result. I'm only referring to homeruns. I know a bad swing can result in a swinging bunt or a flare over the infield.

To much RNG, that wasn't the point of my post, I was not defending off pci home runs, I was pointing out that removing RNG is essentially removing the game. You specifically said "They need to take out RNG"

Sounds like they should just make certain cards more buffed than others. I think that's how they do it with guns in Call of Duty. I think that would take away the RNG section. Or am I wrong about that?

You are wrong, to buff something in MLB means giving them more favorable percentages, as I said before, the stats on cards themselves are RNG. Having Eddie Murray have 100 power means he has a higher percentage chance of a good swing leaving them David Fletcher, and that is due to RNG.
It really isn't comparable to CoD where guns are more or less static. I just shoot at somebody, I'm not swinging at a slider away, or a fastball up, there are a lot more physics things to take into account.
This is what a game without any RNG would look like. No matter who you swing with, the outcome is the same. Ronald Acuna Jr and Tommy Edman would have the same power because if they took identical swings it would be the same result.
Maybe that's the game you want, which is fine. Not really my cup of tea though.

Couldn't SDS adjust or make sliders for each player? If Acuna had 100 power rating, I would think they can make his power slider higher than Edman. Theoretically, that would give Acuna a better chance of hitting a homerun. I know we have a slider setting we can adjust ourselves for the entire gameplay. In COD, each gun has a damage rating, and the devs adjust it from time to time based on how many shots it takes to kill someone. Not sure if you play COD or not to understand that part.
