Who are your favourite 5 pitchers of all time?

NOLAN RYAN
NOLAN RYAN

With a name like this, there is only one.
-
Even though it seems like a joke post I'm gonna be real. Most are guys I got to see pitch so take this with a grain of salt.
#1. Clayton Kershaw
#2. Walker Buehler
#3. Eric Gagne
#4. Nolan Ryan (didn't see him play but it's Nolan Ryan)
#5. Randy Johnson (I'm 6'7 and left handed so that's a big reason to this pick also he was just nasty on the mound) -
I grew up watching baseball in the 90's so those are some of my best memories
Randy Johnson
Pedro Martinez
Tim Wakefield
Roy Halladay
Hideo Nomo (I loved his windup)
I could also include Kerry Wood or Carlos Zambrano -

I feel like Smoltz was sometimes overshadowed by Maddux and Glavine but he had some of the best pure stuff I've ever seen.
I'll go with the theme of pitchers from my younger days:
- Pedro Martinez
- Roger Clemens (Roids or not, he was the best pitcher in my lifetime.
- Randy Johnson
- John Smoltz
- Mariano Rivera
Maddux, Glavine, Halladay, Schilling, Mussina and Hoffman are all right up there too.
More recently: Kershaw, DeGrom, Scherzer and Verlander. How did the 2012-2014 Tigers not win a WS?
-
No particular order,
Randy Johnson
Dwight Gooden (pretty much useless after 28, but a killer before the demons kicked in)
Nolan Ryan
Greg Maddux
Justin VerlanderCan only speak to the ones I have seen.
-
Greg Maddux (7-year span that matched or beat any other P in the history of the game...by a lot)
Walter Johnson
Jacob DeGrom
Tom Seaver
Christy Mathewson
(Honorable Mention: Cy Young...who else? Ok, Nolan Ryan, but that is IT!) -
-
Felix Hernandez [met him at Jack in the Box and he signed a ball I had in my car.]
-
Nolan Ryan [first guy youll see when you open my card album]
-
Tom Candiotti [wheres the knuckleball in The Show?]
-
Charles Nagy [Never forget when the Indians brought him out of the pen in Game 6 of the 97 World Series and the game winner almost took his head off on its way up the middle, still love you Nagy.]
-
Jamie Moyer [Has anyone ever done more with less]
-
-
Nolan Ryan
Roger Clemens
Randy Johnson
Greg Maddux
Mariano Rivera -
