Am I the only one who feels like they accidentally messed up with the coding on his fastball, where they actually made him throw 120mph instead of 102mph? His outlier fastball is so much harder to hit than any other imo.

Agreed. Plus this showdown was kind of boring. Basically just bunt for a hit. Sac bunt, sac bunt, sac bunt, win. Then I got to him and couldn't touch the ball.

Yeah. Nolan was so much easier to hit last year. As was Felix Hernandez. I’m kind of glad that they both have serviceable cards now, but I agree that Ryan is near impossible to hit.

They have yet to make a serviceable Bob Gibson, though. I really want his card to be good someday.

yaaaaaa baby 100% - nothing beats the feeling of throwing a Ryan middle zone outside plate high FB to end inning on a K out

I am glad they figured out a way to make Nolan tough to hit. Cuz he should be tough to hit! Idk that Nolan’s change up was as good IRL as it is in the game lol? I’m a lil skeptical of that. BUT, he was a legend and he should be tough.

Nolan is my best SP for RS. Only pitcher I have with a well over .500 win percentage.

Nolan Ryan should be extremely difficult to hit, he has 7 no hitters and 12 1-hitters...on top of 5,714 K's. That said, sit fastball and you'll beat him in Showdown.

Yup he was great. I wasn't struggling against him in Showdown though, I simply made a thread about an observation about how his fastball seems so much faster than other 102 fastballs.

It could be that his delivery is slower and that makes his FB seem faster than 102.
