So I logged on to try for my one ranked win a day.
Like usual it’s vs P4 DeGrom, at Shippet and, like usual, my FQ request is denied. OK fine. Pitchers duel through four or five innings. I’m being no hit and he has a couple of squibbers from Trea and Lindor.
I give up hit to someone with especially bad PCI feedback that I had to take a photo (ball not even touching inner PCI). So I pause to do that and I get a blue screen error.
Thinking I’ve just taken a disconnect loss, I open the show again and find the game is still going only I am now down 2-0. I watch the replay to see what happened and turns out I continued to pitch two right down the [censored] to Babe who hits one through the six hole and both runs score while Mookie is holding the ball in left.
Matzek, who’s confidence is now in question, gives up a Shippet special so I go to the pen to try to escape this inning with Goose. Nope. He hangs a slurve and I am now down four.
Now it’s the eighth and the game is frozen after a play at second.
Long story short, cool story bro! More high end entertainment from the Show in January.
Update. As I was posting this my opponent must have quit and I somehow got the win. Apologies to my opponent, I was certainly not about to dig in down 4-0 in the eighth…

In this case, I think it was a pickoff attempt. Second base apparently is the freeze off vortex.
