Going from disc to digital

So I'm not sure where to put this, so I'll just put it here.
I purchased a used disc copy of MLB 21 and have been playing it, but now that I can get a digital copy for $20 on ps4 I'm considering doing that. I guess what I want to know is should I do that or just keep my disc copy.
Also if I do decide to go to digital will I lose the custom leagues I'm in and such? I've never done a disc to digital or anything

Should you do it?
I guess the bottom line is how much disc swapping are you currently doing to play other games? If you don't often swap between games then I would save the $20. Either way the game is saved to the internal drive and the disc is only used for authentication each time you start the game. If you rarely swap discs then a digital copy does not get you any added benefits.
I can't say with 100 certainty but I doubt you would lose anything.

Everything you are concerned about is in your local save file or stored in your profile which is online.
Moving from physical to digital should be seamless.
