Missing Legends

I'm sure I'm missing more than a few others. Odd that they would leave these guys out (especially Dawson) when the profiles are already created.

Lost the rights to them. Although don't completely lose hope for next year. Shawn Green and Baines were gone for a couple years each before coming back this year

Ted Williams and Ty Cobb were lost as well. Miss both of them.

I don't quite get the rights thing. Do they have individual agreements with every retired player? Or do the players have to have some type of contract with MLB? I know the active players are part of the union but not quite sure how the retired players are acquired.

some come from the HoF and the Alumni Association but no one knows how that process works or who is made available,pretty sure players have to opt in for that.
other than that its negotiating with the individual players themselves.
