Main issue with all these Classic cards

Now, I'm not talking about the ones in the reward path although they could be included.
But the ones from the Events. Like the Finest Machado, Baez, etc.
Now I understand that if you have a themed Event; the rewards have to match the theme.
But do we really need released cards from previous years when there is a handful, if not more, of Legends that don't have high Diamonds? IE: Puckett.

Some legends just don't get high diamonds each year. I'm not saying Puckett won't. But some of them just aren't getting one. That's how it is

Good question, but there are cards a lot wish were re-released. Look at the 2020 Postseason Seager. Many pretty much had their pants around their ankles when that was put in.
I would love to have that Trouty MVP card from '20, today. Even the Signature Larry Walker from '20 that was just obscene!! -

They tried releasing all the 99 legends super-early back in 2018. It was received … poorly.
By September, everyone had the same lineup and people stopped playing knowing nothing better was coming.
Ever since, they’ve drawn out high diamond legend releases to cover the game’s lifespan. Yeah, it might stink if you’re a fan of the guy they’re sitting on. But that’s the price you pay for having year-long content.

I dont think the finest Trout has anything to do with last year. Its not last years finest card art it is the card art that all of the finests cards that were not released as part of TA5 have. They are all BR/Event/RS rewards.

I think SDS would prefer not to recycle max diamond cards if they can help it. Last year, Gehrig and Goose were Sigs. This year, they’re Milestones. Last year, Ruth and Vlad Sr were awards, this year, they’re Sigs.
Even cards that do get recycled (Sig Billy Wagner) get changed in some way (Astro in 20. Met in 21)
They did a Sig Trout in 19 and an Awards Trout in 20. They probably should have done a Prime card but alas…

The only other unchanged one from year to year i can think of has been Bumgarner, but they don't give out WS Mvp cards as awards, he hasn't achieved any regular season milestones, and his long time topps issue prevents a prime card. Him and Wagner are i'm fairly certain the only two guys to get a sig series only from 19-21
