What constitutes a flashback or legend player for the TA5 challenges?

I’ve been looking for this answer for a while and keep playing with players that I think are what I’m being told can be used but they aren’t getting credit for the total bases or ks

Go into collections and the second tab is legends and flashbacks. Basicalky it's every single card except for live series. Current players in cards from previous achievements including this year like Finest, All Star game and Postseason are flashbacks ans legends are basically any card of a retired player.
When you go to add a player to your team. Hit square if you are PS not sure about Xbox and scroll down to the bottom and you can filter players based on what series/type of card they are. Anything but live series.

What’s easier is to go to the website and look at either the market or inventory pages. It’s tells you there if a card is a flashback or legend.

Also remember that the points are repeatable. So if you need 10Ks with a Legend player and you start the game 9/10; once you get that 10th K nothing else with count.
So if you play a 9 inn CPU game and get 18 Ks, the most that would count would be 10 (if you're at 0/0).

Flashback cards are variations of current live players. (AS turner, HRD soto, PS eaton, awards harper)
Legends are all retired. (SS Vlad sr, SS Gary carter, milestone soriano)

Yeah, that's a bit annoying that it doesn't 'turn over' in-game, but that's the way its set up.
