Question about moving players to other teams

If you move a player to a other team you have to move a other player in the opposite way. Same if you release or sign a free agent you have to move a other player from or to your team.
Is there a way to move a player without moving a player the opposite way?
I know some games like NHL you can move a player without moving other players and release or sign players also without moving players.

Does anyone have ideas to do a better way?

No options. You can't trade cash or draft picks, so the only trades available are player for player.
