I'm happy for Dee, no sympathy from me regarding JF.
You’re such a hardo.
Act like you’ve never made a mistake before, like hmm let’s say have a couple drinks and get behind the wheel? We all have. Mistakes happen. Most live to learn and unfortunately they didn’t
Let’s not act like drinking and driving is something everyone does. I get your point but let’s not normalize that
Definitely not normalizing it, but i'd say its something that everyone has done once in their life. Point being JF made a mistake that quite a few people do and paid the ultimate price for it, to essentially look at him as a murderer is a little over-dramatic

True.
Except he actively made decisions in his life that were wrong and he could've prevented the death of two other men.I love how people normalize drinking and driving. I know you guys don't know me, but I have literally never drank and driven after. I'm a light weight at drinking anyways, having maybe one Desorono and coke, but I barely feel it. I've never liked drinking anyways, but anyone that drinks and drives needs to have their license revoked. My stupid cousin got drunk at a Twin Peaks watching the Astros in 2020, then ran a red light, got t-boned by someone and died at the scene. I f-ing despise drunk drivers.
F JF. He had all the potential to lead a good life but chose to be a P.O.S. Simple as that.

@Schwizzle_Nizzle
I love how you start your post by saying we don't know you but then you act like you know everything about Jose Fernandez. Do you know if he was dealing with any type of issues? Do you know anything about his personal life?
Most of us on these forums I'm sure are still alive to this day because of luck when we did stupid [censored] instead of all of us never making a stupid mistake. Noone is saying to coddle the guy but he clearly needed help. -

I’ve never driven drunk in my life. Also, the mistakes I’ve made in my life never killed anyone. If I did, I would deserve to be chastised by others just like people I knew in my personal life that have killer someone drunk driving.

Chastised and punished, yes. Demonized and forgetting that they are human, no. -

I understand everyone has their own opinions but for him to act like JF was a convicted serial child murderer might say more about him than it does JF

Noone is saying to coddle the guy but he clearly needed help.I know as much as everyone else does. Nobody but his teammates and family knows his struggles that came out after his death.
He was still an adult and chose the wrong path. Many athletes do, but not many kill themselves and two others in a reckless act.
Yes, he needed help and he could've done something to fix it but he chose to be a selfish [censored].

Chastised and punished, yes. Demonized and forgetting that they are human, no.Killers deserve to be demonized. If he was an average Joe drug addict, you wouldn’t feel this way. It’s only because he was good at baseball that you feel bad for him.
-
@Schwizzle_Nizzle
I hope you or anyone you love ever deals with addiction because it's not being a selfish [censored] hole. It's being controlled by something that you are constantly fighting. Do you have any idea how hard it is to admit you have a problem and ask for help when there are people like you treating everyone that makes a tragic mistake a piece of [censored] ? -
@RayLewisSB47_PSN
Says the guy who idolizes a murderer. Also yes I would feel the same thing at about your "every day drug addict" this has to do with a disease not baseball skill -

Just a super sad story man. I remember I pulled his diamond live series a few weeks after he died too

It won’t last when they kill someone you care about. I wonder if you feel bad for serial killers that had rough upbringings or had drug/alcohol problems or rapists that were raped when they were younger. Stop making excuses for other people’s heinous actions. Tell the victim’s families that they should have sympathy for the person that killed their loved one because the drunk/drug addict had issues.

What about ray lewis’ victim’s family?
-
@RayLewisSB47_PSN
Yes, I do feel sympathy for all those people and think we need to understand the core of the issues to fix them. Doesn't mean I think they should be walking around doing whatever they want and not ever being punished for things they do wrong but that throwing people away and not trying to understand why they do these things is just gonna keep the same [censored] happening over and over -

When did Ray Lewis kill anyone? Do you have information that Ray Lewis himself did the stabbing. You should have come forward and testified with that information.

They have no one to blame but themselves. It’s a shame how many people kill people kill people while drunk or on drugs and get their wrists smacked. A friend of my wife was drunk and killed an 80 year old woman. She only got 1-3 years and was out after about a year. She is and will always be a murderer. We have not spoken to her since. We don’t want to be associated with people like her.

I feel bad that I posted this now. I wasn’t trying to cause controversy or turmoil. I was just reminiscing over the loss of Fernandez and the home run that Dee Gordon hit in such a tragic time. I wish you all the best.

.......that's not murder but okSo if you are hanging out with your friends and one of them kills someone while you are there, that makes you a murderer? Interesting logic you’ve got going on there.
-
@RayLewisSB47_PSN
To use your own logic, if Ray Lewis was some random guy and got put in jail for being there you would probably have no problem with it but since you like him as a football player you can't accept how much of a fraud he is.
