For people saying vision does not matter …

because all I’m seeing online it’s people playing with cards with high vision. Maybe because its easier to time swings correctly with high vision players ?

Vision does matter & helps many players to hit better & with more productive results with cards having 90+ & even 100+ Vision. Higher the Vision is what makes the overall size of the PCI being bigger. This makes you get more contact off of pitches that are not dead centered within the PCI, but was at least within the PCI. Higher Vision also helps a lot when using Directional because you are at the mercy of random contact made on each swing. So cards with 100+ Contact & Vision will get more results more often then cards with under 100 Contact & Vision.
Only really skilled players can hit productively with any card & regardless how low it's Vision is & how small the PCI is.

We are at the end of the year where everyone has a super team, it's not that shocking that the cards have high vision.
But also I was never one of those people, I very much value vision because I suck and need some foul balls

SDS confirmed last year that vision effects the timing window they just didn't state specifically how much

Vision influences the outer pci, which in turn determines fouling off pitches. So a player with 80 vision is less likely to foul more pitches then a card with 100 plus

Contact affects the inner PCI, not vision. Vision affects the size of the outer PCI.

The reason people say vision doesn’t matter is because compared to a few years ago, it matters significantly less. Vision used to be the main determinant of PCI size before they created the inner and outer PCIs, but now only contact affects the most important inner PCI. Having high vision helps now, but contact is far more important. A card with good contact and low vision is much more usable than a card with low contact and high vision. Cards like Finest Wisdom are actually usable on HoF despite low vision, whereas he would’ve been nearly impossible for the average player to use on HoF in a game like ‘17.
