I'll go further and say all Event, Ranked Season, and BR games should have to be played at night. If want some terrible backdrop then play off line or play one of your buddies who finds that fun too.

Have you not noticed that the framerate in night games is worse than day games? I get a little perturbed when I play an opponent playing at night because I assume he's exploiting lag.
I would argue that night games should not be selectable for competitive online games, but that's way down the list of things that should be removed/programmed out.
June 1pm, clear skies, you get the smooth play and none of the problematic shadows that plague all other times.

June 1pm, Clear skies as well for me! Used to be an Oct 7pm player to get full nighttime but switched to day games with no glare and I vastly prefer it.
But afternoon games with shadows / glares should be eliminated. Terrible conditions for a video game.
