Any must have WS or BR reward players?
-
Finished Griffey. I have over 800k stubs left. I don't really play WS or BR. The only big name guys I have bought from the online mode program rewards are Verlander and Chapman. Anyone else I should get? Loved Bellinger last year but kind of seems unnecessary with Ruth and Griffey. Same with Harper. Anyone I have overlooked?

Nolan Ryan is great on higher difficulties. Kluber and Arrieta are nice too. Kenley Jansen and Goose are basically bullpen must haves.
Position player wise there isn't really anyone that's a must have imo.

Yep, definitely Goose and Kenley.

Wagner is a must
-
Same names but echo these 3 must-have bullpen guys in rank order for me: Wagner, Goose, Kenley
Then Kluber/Arrieta would also be good adds. Personal preference to break ties between those 2 but my vote is Kluber.
-
Billy Wagner and depending on your pitching style Orel
-
Thanks guys. I was going to pick up Wagner but he looked very similar to Chapman. Goose and Kenley will be joining my pen. Or should I go after Gagne instead? My rotation is DeGrom, Ryan, Verlander, Ohtani and whoever Im feeling at number 5. Right now Im trying out Finest Burnes.
-
I personally prefer Gagne to Kenley but that’s mainly because Mo and Kenley are so similar and I prefer Mo.
Wagner and Chapman are the 2 elite lefty relievers. Billy has a lot better control though Chapman has a bigger repertoire. Both should be in your pen though.

Nolan Ryan is trash on higher difficulties.
Fixed that for you. Haha the dude is BP with no horizontal movement

Personally I love Kluber with that cutter/sinker combo but I'm a total online beginner.
Also Wagner is a must have. His delivery is much better than Chapman in my opinion.

And has anyone mentioned a certain Iron Horse? Gehrig is worth the price of admission.

I guess I and all the people I face have something to learn from you then. I have a tough time squaring him up, and my opponents seem to as well. In previous years I'd have agreed with you, but this yeah it feels different for some reason.

I looked at Gehrig but there are so many power hitting first basemen who are slow with bad defense. I have Papi to P5 so he would be my lefthanded choice but I have Ruth there now. The new Freeman is also glitchy. Frank and Vlad Jr. also hold it down from the right side. A sneaky play at 1st is also Hank. Righty but hits both left and righties and has decent speed. Is Gehrig's swing that good?

It's amazing, but if your goal isn't necessarily to collect every player and you're not looking for another lefty 1B, I get it. He's my favorite from a pure swing standpoint but you're right, many others also serve the same purpose like Votto.

I picked up Wagner yesterday. Guy is a stud. I like Chapman's pitch mix better, but you just never know where the ball is going. With Wagner, he spots every pitch and hits every corner. So I appreciate all who pointed me in his direction. Almost pulled the trigger on Goose but might go with Gagne instead so I can complete the 10th inning XP set. Bullpen is really starting to some together.

This version of Freeman is the best 1B I have used. His swing is amazing. If you haven't tried him, I'd suggest doing so.

I have him at 3rd right now and Babe at first. Freeman might actually be better than the Babe.

Is Kenley really much better than Mo? That’s the only thing stopping me from getting Kenley, same pitch mix, same pitch speeds with Mo.

Better delivery and more break. Everyone has Mo so everyone is very familiar with his wind up and release point. Kenley is a different look. Worth the stubs at this point I'd say.

Last year Kenley was amazing. All his pitches come out looking the same so you have to guess what the break is going to be. I assume it would be the same this year.
