At least patch the outfield problem

We started the game last year with outfielders not being able to lock onto the balls on the warning track and they did patch that relatively quickly. I know many people are concerned about hitting and pitching and I agree with some of it. I don’t think hitting is as bad as many are making it sound and I’m hitting pretty well and I’m seeing far fewer late ok hits than in 19 so I think even now hitting is better than 19. My big problem is outfielders randomly standing in the circle but just not locking on and the ball literally passes through their head. Seems like they fixed something very similar last year so could we at least get that patched?

Seeing the same... I've already had this happen more in 2 weeks than the entire last year. In fact, I'm not sure it happened to me once in MLB19.

I’m surprised this hasn’t been patched yet. It’s one thing to want things tweaked but this is a major gameplay flaw.
I feel like the only way this isn’t patched yet is due to short staffing via the virus.

if they patch fielding now without fixing hitting then we may never see another completed game

I'm not the brightest but can somebody tell me how if defense was fine last year how is it so bad this year?

The game actually started like this last year too. You basically could not catch a ball on the warning track. Not only would you not lock on but your fielder would actually not be able to enter the fielding circle on the warning track. They did patch that pretty quickly last year though.

Has anyone actually seen a single comment from a dev in these parts anytime since the [censored] patch?

Did they change sliders, at least, on hitting? Very small sample size but I just ran through a game without getting frustrated. Granted, it was offline. But baby steps? It felt a lot better than the past couple of days.

It only happened last year for about a week and was fixed with one of the very first patches.
