Struggling with PCI, Getting Under Pitches Constantly

I'm starting to notice the effects of the patch that everyone has been complaining about. Not sure why the PCI tweak is only affecting me now, but I'm noticing it.
I want to stress the fact that I play OFFLINE, against the CPU in conquest and the 9-inning play vs. CPU games.
Veteran difficulty and up, it's terrible, but it affects me on Rookie too. Batters that I have been able to locate the ball with keep getting their bat under pitches down the middle of the plate. I don't get it.
What can I do about this?

Hope and pray that another content creator cries and whines enough to get it reverted. These types of patches are standard for SDS, the year typically goes like this: game launches, everyones happy with hitting and pitching, SDS realizes everyone is happy and then releases a patch to make us miserable a week later. They then make things worse with every patch until the release of next years game where the cycle starts all over again.

Patch or no patch, I still drop the PCI. I miss so many big innings because of it. I'm so frustrated, I may stop playing, or at least play a lot less,, now that the itch to play EASHL in NHL is coming back.

I think this happened in MLB 18, nobody hit the same after some patch dropped in July.

Me too. I've been experimenting with the "Claw" grip for the heck of it. I don't seem to drop as often, but it could be wishful thinking.

"Claw" grip?
Basically using both your thumb and index finger to hold the left stick. It's weird, but I know others have tried it with some success.

I did it the other way. most of the time i can avoid it,but when i get back into dropping the pci- i start with the top center dot in the middle of the top middle box so when i "drop my pci" its right on those center cut pitches.

That’s too weird for me lol. I’m just putting a little more pressure to have a firm grip on the stick with my thumb, but not too much.

Try different views like strike zone high. I find a different perspective can sometimes help.
