This is something that needs to happen in next year's game.
Series affinity gives reason to use all the different series and could replace the xp path in a way where you gain points based on the usage of the different series of cards

Kind of how 2017 worked. In lieu of innings, SDS would release a couple of programs every month or so designed around card types.

Talk about a real grind
Remember when grinding those kind of stats was considered easy? The innings alone require 20+ full 9 inning games.
