I don't understand why Diamond Dynasty doesn't allow different starting lineups for righties and lefties when it comes to opposing teams pitcher. I understand not wanting people to back out when they see a certain handed pitcher, but at least let us preset both, as I believe that is a feature in Franchise. If I have my lineup set for right-handed pitching and they throw a lefty, I then have to pinch hit 3-4 players early to get the matchups I want and I then have one guy on my bench for the entire rest of the game. I understand that part of it is having players that can hit both, but logistically that's not how the game of baseball is played.

Do you understand how broken that would be? Fotf Ozzie Albies would suddenly be the most sought after card in the game and you'd be seeing silver Pedro Alvarez at 700+ rating, we don't see the lineups like this so the pitching doesn't get screwed

If you don't want to switch in all of your replacements against a lefty then learn to hit lefty lefty or get some switch hitters, setting a lineup against dominant arm would be asking for the pitcher's era to commit non-alive(don't hurt me mods)

I can't stress how bad of an idea this is, just carry a lineup that goes lefty righty 1-8 like everyone else does instead of trying to get a jump start by loading your lineup against a dominant hand

First off, it's much more efficient to have a lineup with each using your bench players. I have the matchup I want almost the entire game, outside of 2-3 at bats late in the game if a reliever comes in of the opposite hand. In real life, lineups are set based on what pitcher they are facing, not a general rating of a player.

You don’t want to have to use your whole bench to set favorable matchups you want, so I should have to make an early pitching change with a long reliever to avoid your favorable matchups? Sounds legit.

If you started an all lefty lineup on me then I’d go to my bullpen right away and you’d be at a bigger disadvantage bc you wanted to start 8 left hand batters. Even real games they know a certain guy is pitching but they only rotate one or maybe two starters at the most

I used to think it would a good idea but it would make the game ridiculous. Even though you can set a lineup in real life based on who you face that day no major league team has or will ever have 5 or 6 absolute lefty killers waiting on the bench for that day when the other team throws a lefty. It would make pitching really tough if you put a lefty out there and faced Ozzie and big hurt and piazza and guys like that 1-8. Then on the other side when a righty throws you stack your lineup with lefty’s who kill righty’s . Although hitting would be fun pitching would be a nightmare.

The problem with this, although you do set lineups based on handedness of the pitcher in real life, you would never bench someone like Pujols Rickey Henderson etc.(right handed bat) for someone like Schwarber, this version of Duke snider etc. (someone who cant hit lefties). If you cant learn to hit L v L maybe online play isnt for you

I never said I can't hit lefty lefty. I win the majority of my online games with the method that I use, and it's much more efficient to have players that are very good vs one side, then to have players that are just "good" against both sides, but that's not the point. And if someone wants to bring in a reliever in the first inning, I would GLADLY have their starter pulled before they even throw a full inning.
