This right here. Also, don’t be afraid to stack your team with speedsters that are good drag bunters. I do this sometimes for beating the CPU on all star when I’m not really feeling it and want to finish a player program.

Yes, you can definitely do the Conquest maps, they are easy once you get the hang of them. I agree with ^^^^, just reinforce so you can play on rookie.
But I'm confused, what does the conquest map have to so with Wade Davis?
Yes, rookie Wade Davis will appear in your starting pitcher inventory.

, some good tips in Conquest is start a reliever/opener. You may draw a teams 5th starter. Keep at least 2 speed guys on your bench, if a big hitter of yours is slow, but gets a single, pinch run for him early and stay out of double plays if he only gets a single. As soon as the game starts, get your pen ready, and play small ball, but have your best relievers ready to hold things down.
Also have bench players that play 5 or more positions. If you have Jackie and Honus, they're bench GOLD.
Manage smart and you'll bust Conquest out. -
@RayLewisSB47_PSN Thank you so much. I got him in the starting rotation and will complete shortly. To all you that answered with help about the conquest maps I appreciate it. I will try it out. I'm a first year guy and I'm old so did not collect all those cards in the beginning and now it is paying me back. No Mookie and No Kershaw for me. I was ten points short of getting Davis without the 5K's so I thought I would have to conquer a conquest map to get him. Thanks guys!

@TheGoaler_PSN thanks a lot that is some really sound advise. I'm gonna try these tips out for sure! Just so you guys know, I'm 62 years young and I couldn't hang with the PinPoint pitching and the PCI hitting so I use pure analog on both. Studying and watching YouTube videos I have finally gotten my pitching settings down to where I am pretty consistent. My misses don't come back online. I'm a decent player on Hall of Fame but Legend is another story. I don't understand which games are on Hall of Fame and which are on Legend online though. My problem is it takes me about 3 innings on Legend to get a rhythm lol. I reckon that's a little late just like I am on the heater!

As someone mentioned earlier about the Opener strategy, you can guarantee that you face the 5th starter if you select your 5th starter every game. The game sorts it by OVR so you can put your favorite "5th lowest" SP in your rotation in the menus and use him every game to get the easiest pitching matchups. Do that, along with reinforcing a ton to get Rookie or Veteran games, and conquest maps will be pretty straightforward

This is my first year too and I'm not much of a gamer to boot. Conquest held no interest for me and now it and Team Affinity are my favorite and most rewarding programs. I know a lot of people are on a race to have the best team but ultimately what's most important is to enjoy the game. As you can see, there are lots of people on here who are really helpful, they have helped me improve my team/game play and experience a ton. @TheGoaler_PSN has some great advice on how run each conquest game. Reinforce a ton and try to grab as many available territories as possible on each turn. Then reinforce your borders.

The rookie card for Wade Davis is a starting pitcher not relief pitcher, which is probably the reason he isn’t showing up for you. Just looking in the wrong position.

To some people (myself included) they seem extremely difficult before you know how to do them (especially the US Map and other large maps with lots of teams) but once you get the hang of it, they are quite manageable, sometimes super easy. I'm sure the OP can handle them no problem like you say they just need to get through a few easy ones to get hang of them.
