When an XBH isn’t an XBH.

So I’m doing the Randy Arosarena moment in the Division Series program and three times I get hits that the game should have made XBH and didn’t. On one the ball hit off the top of the fence and the other two Matt said they were XBH. Anyone finish this one and tell me what the game is looking for? My guess is an HR.

If they throw for another runner (usually home) they dont count it, its a discretion call same as a fielder’s choice

This. It’s counted as a single, advancing to 2nd on the throw

During one of Yadi's moments I hit a deep ball that bounced off the wall, but when they threw into second it was wide. I took off for third and that throw was wide. I took off for home and that throw was off. Even though I knew I wouldn't get credit for an in the park homerun; I figured I had at least an XBH.
The game counted it as a single. I guess due to the overthrows.
