What I love so far about this game
-
When I can get 10-15 hits and 15-20 runs, per game, with Silvers on Rookie level in Conquest; when I just have random players in the lineup.
But as soon as I buy some specific Diamond players, to do specifics missions towards newer programs, I'm lucky if I can scrap together a 3 hit game.

Right?
Makes sense I reckon.... -
And when said silver and common cpu controlled outfielders in said conquest games rob homeruns and make diving catches
-
I almost always slump with brand new studs because I have massive expectations. Or if I need certain stats to complete missions but when I'm just playing for xp and fun I mash much better even if I'm using silvers and golds. I totally get it.

No need to call BS on this. I bet a lot of us have similar experiences (I think sometimes against CPU the PCI can be too big, and not reward you so much).
The thing that always gets me is sucking with a guy for a particular mission. As soon as the mission is over, boom, hits galore.
On a very semi-related note, does anyone ever get fastballs from the CPU? It’s rare for me. I see a million changeups and curveballs, especially when it’s the pitchers third or fourth best pitch (right???).

team and opposing pitcher are a major factor, playing at Colorado on rookie is different than playing at Yankee stadium

If you're struggling to hit consistently with high rated players on easier difficulties, I think the main culprit is the huge PCI causing you to make contact with pitches that you probably shouldn't have swung at. I almost always use power swing when I'm playing on rookie or veteran and it seems to help most of the time.
