Anyone else struggling with the Showdown?

Usually I knock these out in one or two tries…I have been sitting here for 4 hours now & still not beaten it.
The Severino showdown had me swearing like a sailor. It was difficult for me to see his pitches, which were way too freaking fast. I finally got a home run that won it for me.
I swear it was luck that got me past that one, and past Skubal and Valenzuela.
I think the problem is that most, if not all, of the good hitters you can draft are lefties. And Skubal and Valenzuela are both lefties. Severino? He's OP in that showdown and his confidence meter is on steroids.

I'm 6 for 6 so far, although a couple of them have came down to the last 2 outs
Why did you do it six times? Do you get the rewind pack every time? That’s crazy if you do. It took me like ten minutes to complete.
Yes you get the pack everytime. In fact thats the whole purpose of run it back
Why are the cards still 30K? Should be like 10K.
Because there aren't very many people that enjoy doing the same conquest or showdown more than once. It was the same deal last year
Also you need to stack your lineup with RIB players to do the stat missions in the program. Many people are just scooping them up off the market right now. After people complete the program by the end of the weekend the prices on the RIB cards will fall off a bit, probably stay between 15-20
I would argue that as more people complete the program prices will increase as fewer and fewer people do the showdown and conquest the cards will not be as in high circulation
I wish. There are too many people like myself that see an easy opportunity to make 30K stubs in 15 min that are bound to drive the price down.
I heard the same thing last year and it never happen
It wasn't quite as easy last year. There were at least 6 conquest games that I remember and the Showdown wasnt as easy.. There are also more people playing with XBOX, adding to the number of cards on the market. These cards will continue to go down in price UNTIL more players are added to the pack like last year...that is what will make the first ten go back up in price a bit...problem is that by that time, everyone will have them all for collections.

The RIB map for this year is much better than last year's. The map has more territories and the teams aren't as frustrating to play against. For comparison:
2020: White Sox, Athletics, Yankees, Braves, Cubs, Padres.
2021: Marlins, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Dodgers. This year is so much better in terms of completing the map

Thia showdown sucks, I get to the last one and cannot hit that last guy AT ALL. Even with all R handed batters, nope.
-
Take pitches. Fernando throws a lot of balls which will lead to walks and if not the fastball which is much easier to hit. Most of the slow stuff is low and out of the zone.
-
Not to be cocky but I don’t think it’s difficult at all. If you don’t like lefties vs Leftie matchup pick right handed batters. It’s on rookie I think so the pci will be big. Also try exit velocity perks. You’ll get it.
-
I did the showdown on my first attempt. However, I will say it was more difficult than the Sherzer showdown.
-
Sit fastball on Valenzuela.
-
Skubal annoyed me so much that I went out and bought him.
-
I have yet to get past Skubal after 6 attempts I had to walk away and go due the conquest map again
-
Easiest showdown I’ve ever done. 11/11 and then won the showdown with 2 ABs ️

Last year it, took longer to do, the showdown differently was harder, The CQ I think was harder and took a bit longer last year as well. Last year CQ had 6 teams this year it is 4 and way easier.
-
This showdown is easy, Change your bench to have speed guys, I been very successful with taking out slow runners and using common players with speed to steal and hit and run, Use the Bunt, Take pitches, I think I only lost one I did it like 10 times. The CQ map I can do in 45 to 60 min.
-
I suck at Showdown, but I did complete this one. Granted it took 1 out of 4 tries. Failed twice on Severino (Skubal gave me no problems, but Severino was a pain), and failed once on Fernando. Seriously, I teed off on Skubal, the hardest part about him is the park, and the fact that homers in the other parks can still be in play in Comerica.
Rougned Odor blasted 2 walkoffs for me in my successful run. 1 against Severino and then against Fernando.

Thanks but for the record. This is the only time I’ve found it a breeze. The team was good and the pitchers all awful.
-
Took me 3 tries to finish it. Then I did it 3 more times straight. Friggin game be weird as heck sometimes
-
I cruised through the first 3, down 12-11. First 4 pitches were all over the place from Fernando and I thought, this isn’t hard at all. 15 outs later, I lost 12-11. I feel like that card throws anywhere from 45 mph to 65 mph to 90 mph with crazy precise location and break. Can’t wait to get him!
-
I tried it but I just can’t hit Fernando. The big differences in speed between pitches really messes me up and I have really struggle timing the screwball.
