I DON’T WANT TO PLAY AT SHIPPETT

Please when we choose our home field can we also choose one field we absolutely do not want to play at? Tired of getting matched with losers who choose to play at Shippett because they like to make the game as crappy and flukey as possible. If I offer a FQ before the first pitch, take it, or else you will lose. (Unless you’re the guy who just hit homer after homer on legend against Cliff Lee)

To add onto this, anyone who says this isn't saying bad home runs don't happen at other parks, but with Shippetts elevation and small size, it does happen more. Some people think it's worth the trade off because obv good input gets rewarded more and that's ok, but I'm in the camp that the bad home runs annoy me more so I never play there if I can help it.

Yeah I agree, everyone is on bother sides of the RNG, I find myself, I get extremely annoyed when I give up a non PCI homerun, and I genuinely feel bad when I hit one, so I avoid the place

The two don't have to be mutually exclusive, it's possible to criticize the game and Shippet.

This game isn’t perfect obviously, but shi***tt makes it a whole heck of lot worse. If you can’t score runs in a normal stadium where there are still plenty of home runs to come by then you just suck

Last night, i got matched up with opponent choosing Shippett as home field. I asked for FQ, he accepted.
This happened literally three more times in a row, and I was fortunate enough that all three accepted FQ request before I finally got home field advantage on the 5th try.
(I feel like your SP will have a lot to do whether they accept or not....just my opinion.)

As I have said in the other Shippett threads...I don't choose it, but I don't get upset when someone else does. It is fine to think only people who are terrible at the game choose it as their home ballpark, but that isn't the case. You see plenty of World Series guys who choose it and a month or so ago when they had the tournament for $25k, both guys in the championship chose it as their home ballpark. I don't think they are terrible at the game.
More off pci home runs may happen there because of elevation and dimensions, but the same happens on both sides of the ball. In any level of baseball there are going to be more home runs on bad swings in a smaller ballpark or at a higher elevation. Shippett is just a clear manifestation of the wacky gameplay that is all over this game.

I am just bored of it more then anything. Like playing at other stadiums just for a change of pace, i assume im probably in the minority there tho.

You are not...someone else mentioned that the other day. They said it has been this way for three years and I completely get that complaint. Personally, I am tired of FOD for that reason.

I change up stadiums I suck at hitting so I rather play in bigger stadium give up less HR and have a chance to win a low scoring game.
