Hey guys! I am kinda confused with this. I wanted to play with the Padres as a 2 way player. In double A I chose to get more focus on 2nd base but pitching sometimes, when I got called up to triple A the coach told me that if wanted to stay I'd have to be a pitcher so I said the same again (I wanna focus on 2nd base and pitch sometimes) but I got trade to the Red Sox so here's my question.
Do I have to play the 6 years rookie season with the Red Sox to go back to San Diego or not? How can I got back to San Diego cause I really wanted to play along Tatis Jr.

If your player is not better than the starter you're looking to replace, they ask you to switch position, to fill a need. If you don't want to, they trade you.
Your best chance of playing 2B is to be better than Cronenworth, and then you'll start and he gets to switch or sit on the bench.

If your career is not going the way you want, you can always start a new one. Your player, the loadouts, perks, equipment, everything stays with you, even though you start in the minors again.

Thanks for answering man! But... Do I have to play the six years with Red Sox to be a free agent or I can ask for a trade in my first year?

You can ask for trades, but no guarantee they will or who they trade you to.if they dont trade you,you are stuck with the red sox till after 6 years in majors

But I'm kinda confused because Jake Cronenworth (San Diego Second Baseman) is 86 overall and C potential while my player is 88 overall and A potential and I got trade again. Why? Is there any possibility for me play second base in San Diego? Please help me 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Maybe if you grind a bit more. I don't know how they compare you against Cronenworth, maybe overall and potential is not everything.
Do you bat L or R? Can you do both? If yes, make your player a switch hitter, but make sure you can get hits both sides. That would definitely make you more valuable to the team.
