For those that say “do your research”, this comes directly from the CVS website prior to scheduling your vaccination. I had Covid back in February and I was only sick for a day or so. I understand that it affects people differently and a different strain could impacts me more so, however, after seeing this disclaimer (especially being a male in the described age range) I decided I would rather take my chances of possibly getting Covid again. I don’t think the virus or vaccine is a conspiracy or anything of that nature, but I made what I think is the best decision is for myself as I believe everyone is entitled to do. I don’t have a problem wearing a mask anywhere that asks, I personally just don’t have 100% trust in the vaccine quite yet. Hating people because they are or aren’t vaccinated is absurd and needs to stop.
We could all benefit from being kind to one another, but each day it seems we’re further and further divided and hateful. This forum is a microcosm, with so many internet tough guys, it’s unreal.
Have you seen the video where the British guy dons armor made from keyboards and starts to instigate fights in a grocery store?

LMFAO - no, but I need to check it out.

This debate absolutely does not belong here and nothing good will come of this.
Just to add, the hatred that people have for those who CHOOSE not to get vaccinated is insane. It comes out in these posts all the time and is quite disgusting. It seems a high percentage of people who take the vaccine seem to think they are super heroes and are basically in the trenches saving lives. Over 99% survival rate. Stop all the hatred towards your family, friends, neighbors, etc.
You do you buddy. I have no hatred. No empathy either.
That’s fine.
Just curious do you say the same for all those you know who smoke, drink, do drugs, are overweight, and generally don’t take care of themselves? Just asking
Those are life choices that don’t affect anybody else though. Could you say the same for getting vaccinated. Hell if it’s safe enough for Patrick mahomes to get it. It’s safe enough for me. The worlds leading epidemiologists telling you it’s safe but people would rather say it’s gonna turn them into zombies.
About to be World War Z up in this

I agree with the last part, I think people on both sides are scared though and that can make people lash out, there's also a lot of frustration and angry going around these days as well.
I personally got the vaccine but I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to get it and I understand were your coming from. Just because I don't agree with a friend/family member or even stranger doesn't mean that they should be hatted or treated badly. Your choice is yours and that's the way it should be.

It is. Yet the same folks who believe this fundamental right have the opposite opinion when it suits them. Such as in Texas. Those particular people want to control others bodies when it suits them, but claim the right to decide for themselves about a vaccine. So which is it? Does the govt have the right to decide for you when it comes to your health and body or not?

Right or left doesn’t matter anyways neither side wants the best for us as people. Hate to see legends of the game picking sides when neither cares about us. Just to tear people apart from each other.
Bring people together man. No more of this BS by chip.
Dude why are you here posting this? This is a forum about MLBTS 21 and baseball in general. While politics and controversial things leak into this forum as it's inevitable that they do, we try to keep it to a minimum.
And why are you posting this in diamond dynasty? If it needs to be posted in this forum at all, it should go into the off-topic section.
If I had to guess, you posted this in diamond dynasty because you knew that this is the most active section of the forum where you KNEW you would get attention. So you posted it here in the wrong section. Not cool imo.
While I'm not against debate or anything, this forum can be easily stirred up sometimes (no offense to anyone here of course, it happens anywhere), stirring the pot politically doesn't help the climate too much.
It is interesting when you say that you hate to see legends picking sides, when you post something controversial that is going to make people pick sides and fight one another. You say you want to bring people together, but look at the replies to your post—this is doing the opposite, driving people apart and pitting them against each other, making everyone fight each other. It's not cool at all, man.
Just my two cents.

I wasn't saying that at all. Don't put words into my mouth. Or keyboard, in this case. The word "evenly" doesn't appear anywhere. And no one is ever evenly divided over everything—the world isn't black and white, there are always gray areas and middle ground.

I'm not saying that I'm supporting what Chipper thinks, if that's what you're insinuating. And Felipe Vasquez is a piece of trash (I'd say worse about him but the forum censor probably won't let me) for the despicable things he did.
I'm not defending Chipper, I'm not attacking him. I could care less about what he says, I'm not interested.
I just know what happens when posts that bring up vaccination and other controversial topics that people are going to argue about. People argue enough on this forum without those topics being thrown into the mix. More than anything I would like to see people respect the opinions of others and not condemn others for what they think simply because they don't agree.
In other words, I don't want this forum to turn into Twitter.

Agree that both sides are hypocrites here. The right who are for choice of vaccination are "pro-life" and don't think it should be a woman's choice whether they want to risk their life or not brining a child to full term. On the other side the "pro-choice" people think the woman should be able to choose whether they can carry a child full term or not but don't think you should be able to choose whether you want to get vaccinated or wear a mask. I fully believe that it's my body and my choice and side with pro-choice for both abortion and vaccination. I chose to get the vaccine but agree that was my choice and not everyone should be forced to follow.
To your point about 100% of abortions kill the fetus, that may be true but only a portion of them would have gone to full term and survived due to issues with the fetus or the woman, and that percentage gets increasingly higher with the age of the woman.

So when I made a post condemning Felipe Vasquez a few years ago I should have taken into account that some people supported his lifestyle choices and the topic could be devisive? Chipper is in the game so there is no problem with making a post about him.
I don't think either subject should be controversial. If it upsets people to see their personal views aren't the norm they can retreat to their echo chambers or stay and discuss.

For a guy that says he does his own “research”, claiming sandy hook was a hoax is really disappointing.
Just remember guys Facebook isn’t research.

Just my two cents.

this isn't about picking sides, I have good friends who are vaccinated and ones that are not and we are all still friends because it is respecting each other and understanding. All the people I know who are not vaccinated are not against people getting vaccinated but a lot people who are vaccinating where I live some people think we are evil and a bad person for not getting vaccinated.

Let people think what they want to think and choose what they want to do. No reason to hate on each other.

Agree! Truer words haven't been said.

Some people definitely take it too far, on both sides. I've seen plenty of people be a holes and hop on a high horse about the vaccineand plenty of anti-vaccine turn into Stan's dad "I thought this was America" and get belligerent. Too many people instantly vilify people on the other side and act like they are on the other side as a personal malicious attack against them. I can usually go down a rabbit hole and at least somewhat understand where people on the other side come from even if I strongly disagree but for too many people it's their way or the highway. -
On A MLBTS note I bought two HRD packs in the flash sale and pulled the highest cards both times Mancini and Alonzo. I needed both of them thinking of selling and buying back when there prices drop lower than what they are
