Is this correct?

Yesterday, I think it was @KILLERPRESENCE4 stated that a Dev told him that your XP CAP starts calculating as soon as you earn XP.
Therefore when I signed on earlier today and did the Pudge Daily Moment, I incurred about 160 points in XP at around 12 noon EST.
I was planning on playing tonight; but an emergency came up and I'm sitting at the hospital with a family member.
Will probably be here until late.
I'm off tomorrow and was looking at getting up early (8/9am EST) and playing.
If I did that, would mean that any XP I earn while playing will go towards that CAP amount and at 12 noon EST; it will reset?
Therefore I could technically earn at least 75K tomorrow?

Sorry about your family member. I hope they are ok and recover soon. It suck we have to put so much time into calculating xp because of people exploiting some walk method or whatever it is. It’s hard enough to enjoy the game this year as is

I started today at around 6pm EST and have been playing the 6th Inning Conquest map when all of a sudden I'm not getting mission progress.
I assume the XP is counting. But I don't know.
Don't know the answer to the OPs question either.
