Last year, we were still able to complete innings after the next inning program started. I haven't seen it in the menus this year. Am I missing it somewhere in the game?

They stated in pre release streams that once the inning is over, it’s gone. You can’t go back and finish it later.

Agreed, it keeps the game alive longer; especially with the innings going away this year.
