Why has hitting been so garbage lately?? It's not even fun to play anymore ... I get the RNG and all that but it's just awful right now .... hitting balls dead on all warning track ... I don't expect a hr everytime but throw some ground balls for fucks sake . Where's there some secret hitting update or some [censored] I wasn't aware about ?

I don’t think it’s RNG . I think it’s the obsession with “perfect-perfect “ . RNG allows for bloop and other hits you no longer get . It also gives a bonus to the players it real life who don’t have a “glitch swing “ (looking at you trea Turner and your 75 HR ) . It seems like now the only way you get a good hit is if you get “p-p” everything, and I MEAN EVERYTHING , else is a fly ball 90% of the time . That’s great for the top 5% of players , but for those of us who didn’t “buy a monitor “ or don’t want to spend hours watching YouTube hitting tips videos , it sucks . Honestly go play Ranked , play 10 games , mark how many people you play that have 8/9 players hitting under .230 . (Assuming the guy has used the player for more then 10-15 games ) . I know that if I get any replies to this it will be “ What are you talking about , I make WS every season and I’m batting .600 with 78 HR in 14 RS games with Acuna “ or “Get good “ . Bottom line this years version sucks donkey and I have yet to talk to anyone that legit has fun playing it

On an unrelated note, does anyone know how to manage the budget for your franchise team. It seems every season I am in deficit and other teams have budget to work with. If anyone has any feedback, I would be extremely grateful.

Haha dude, you gatta go over to Operations Sports for Franchise questions......this site is basically 90% DD casual noobs that wouldn't know anything about Franchise. Anyways, one way to make a few extra bucks is to get sponsorships...you know when you use your XP. Attach those sponsorships to Walk up, Replays, and the Ticker bars....some will reward you with money if you do certain things in the game like Get a win or whatever else. I don't pay attention to it but I do use them so I can have actual ads take up those spaces instead of "The Show".

No, here's the problem with you casuals...you don't put the time in to practice. Why is it that I'm playing on Legend hitting and pitching at maxed out pitch speed but you're having trouble with the game and I'm not?. Its cause you suck!! you suck because you haven't put the time in...If you want to get good at something put the time in and get gut..don't get all pansy and wallmart Karen on the froum....get your S(^& together and practice casual.

No, here's the problem with you casuals...you don't put the time in to practice. Why is it that I'm playing on Legend hitting and pitching at maxed out pitch speed but you're having trouble with the game and I'm not?. This is so the truth latley. People getting cramp hits and hr off late swings or very early mean while I have to be perfect to even get a hit. Nvm the hits they give off terrible pci placement. I got the ball going through my bat or my swing path going down the middle of the plate when im swning way outside. Im so sick of getting screwed SDS pleaseeeeeee fix the hitting plzzzzzzzz

Being called Wallmart (spelling?) Karen by a guy with a Walmart education is pretty awesome.
Just keep sucking-down mountain dew, eating Doritos and yelling at your mom from the basement that you're an "E-sports athlete." I'll bat .235 online and focus on the 401k.

I looked up your profile and you have played less then one minute of DD . You play manly “play now “ Whis is meant for casuals . so you clearly have no idea what your talking about . Your clearly a sad pathetic lil man who feels like a big boy coming on forums and making yourself sound like a bad a$$ .

Anyone who says hitting hasn’t changed, I have to disagree. For one, dynamic difficulty is currently broken which implies there was some change in an update, intentional or not. Also, pitch speeds are either higher or there’s a minor lag in swing as I’m consistently late on fastballs that were never an issue prior. Balls are breaking differently and the speed/path on off speed pitches are different too. Easiest test is that I was always between HOF+ and legend+ on dynamic hitting, then had a run of games that dropped me down to all star. Now I can’t progress up because the difficulty resets back to AS after every game, even when I progress up to HOF within a game. I’ve been testing out hitting on HOF without dynamic and it’s just a different experience now. Pitch locations/tendencies are different and so is the way the ball moves. There’s more late break and I’m swinging at way more pitches out of the zone because the movement on pitches is just different. There’s also a framer at issue or jitteriness on a few pitches each game. Possible there’s no difference in DD as Im primarily playing franchise or CPU exhibition, but there’s no doubt hitting has changed in these modes. Been extremely frustrating for around 3 weeks now, so hoping it goes back to the smoother system it had prior.

Agreed,Superhuman players hit 700 all the time and never notice these anomalies like us mortals do. Hark here cometh one now to reassure us hoew ridiculous We are.

I went back to MLB20 and I won 2 straight RS games. I could actually see and hit the ball. SDS really messed up hitting this year. I don't know what it is, but it is genuinely awful.

I will be tearing the cover off the ball when 22 comes out.Then we get to start all over again, a beastly cycle that I evidently cherish. I keep putting my head in the vise or vice, whichever.

Wow if that wasn't a ridiculous response I don't know what is. The reason I don't play DD and never will is I want to play a proper game of baseball not arcade garbage with default sliders. Isn't DD at like All-Star with default sliders?...that's terrible....almost everything is off...your pitch speed is at a snail's pace, why would I want to play slow pitch?. Playing on Legend at pitch speeds at 10 is the closest you can get to RL, the reaction time is about .6 seconds...its a bit slower to RL which is about .4 to .5 seconds. The Show 19 had it as close to RL but it seems The Show 21 SDS slowed it down a bit. Also the default slider settings is all over the place..there is a reason why some guys spend hours and hours testing sliders you noob, its to get simulated results and gameplay. One example is Fielder Run speed..its way too fast at 5...a realistic speed to gameplay should be at 3...I wish there was a 3.5 that would be great, the Foul Frequency is prolly the worst of all, it should be closer to 1 or 2. I basically spend 70 to 80 hours playing Exhibition and Spring training working on Sliders before I start the Regular Season...that's how long I need every year to find a realistic gameplay Slider set for the regular season. You DD casuals play a totally different game from me, you guys are basically playing a dumb down arcade version of The Show..it has to be that way so everyone is playing at an equal level. Its instant gratification casual noobs that spoiling sports game these days and The Show introducing this DD fluff mode and putting so much emphasis on it each year and giving Franchise mode the shaft year to year is terrible for us realistic players.
