I made several changes (including inserting a couple of commons) and the rating hadn't budged from 98. I decided to go play RS instead because I'd been at it for 5 minutes already and I really just want to play with the time I have. If others are reporting it's taking 20 minutes to adjust the roster, that's far too long. Even knowing what to choose the second time playing the event, the changes still have to be made manually. Not a good use of game time.

It's super annoying. There's no reason to not implement a best roster within parameters option.

Pretty sure that is an option already. You can have it auto generate the best lineup….now that is subjective and I’m not sure how they tabulate that, but it exists.
In the roster screen at home page they have the same auto generate option. I’ll do it intermittently throughout the year to see what they produce but it always has less than best option (in my opinion) in those lineups.

That's right. It generates the 98/90 lineup again.

Exactly. It generates a best roster, but not within the parameters of the event. Not helpful at all.

Ahhh, got it…I (clearly) have never used it in events. Understand issue with that option then and just another oddity that they need to fix.

Only counter I’d say is it’s largely a one time effort. Once you get your team to 90 then it becomes clear how you need to construct it to meet the threshold. Then, each subsequent entry should just mirror that construct. I personally like the lower hard cap idea as it does force more variations of lineups that you see and gives me a reason to roll out some of my old cards again.
Same here! Also creates a bit more strategery and lineup diversity. Interesting to see who favors what in their lineups: SP, RP, offense, defense, balanced approach?
-
My first team had my starting position players ranging from 89 - 96. I played teams with mostly 99s so for my next team I had to play around to have the same.
Now, I hope I don't go deep into the bullpen. And my pinch hitters will have 60 ratings!
-
Totally agree. I saw the requirements and after 5-10 mins trying to figure out my lineup i just gave up and got out. Sds needs to stop it.
-
i might do this just because I dont play ranked and finished the BR program yesterday but likely I just wont play much this weekend i suppose
-
So new Event is basically 99 hitters vs Ohtani and 90 or below pitchers. And Ohtani isn’t great so expect a lot of offense as no lineup cap……
-
Even if they started your team with the lowest possible players first it would be better than the highest. So as you start to pick the players you want to use you can see the progression going up. Also would save scrolling all the way down to 60s.

I think the real question here is why are y’all wasting time playing events for an Ozzie Smith card??
-
Collections. Not everybody has Mookie yet. Also, some people collect all the events awards.

I think a lot of people play events because they prefer it to ranked and it gives them the option to use a wide assortment of their cards. For many people it isn't about the rewards. I play what is enjoyable to me. Lately that hasn't been events, but often it is.

Those are literally all the reasons I play BR. I find it more enjoyable than ranked, plus the reward path is far better than events have been lately.

Completely agree...LOL That is why I have been playing BR the past week and not events. At first I was thinking I was not going to like four diamonds in BR, but after a few days I think I am liking it. Provides a little diversity on how teams are created.
