I do not understand the home run complaints at all from pre patch. I understand pitching has been somewhat all over the place. Curious as to whether or not the players giving up these bombs need to learn to pitch better. You can’t throw it over the plate consistently and expect a good player to consistently swing and miss. I would be happy to go back to patch 1.03 (with some bug fixes) and deal with pitching the way it was vs. having it feel like I have no control over anything the way it is now.

Let's be 100% honest. Were they really? The MLB saw more HRs last year than in any period of time.

And remember, those home runs were being hit due to user input, not rng.

Whatt they did was completely mess it up. I get not having as much homeruns but now you are randomly rewarded on those squared up pitches. Just even it out I’ll take being rewarded with a line drive and something that actually looks like you hit it hard n not these good and ok can of corn fly outs. Makes it less fun

Now I didn't play post past but reading the threads wasn't the main issue pitching? Too many pitches ending up over the plate. Have a real MLB game where pitchers throw everything right over the middle of the plate and see what the score is. Well, it would be high. Sounds to me like the pitching should have been addressed not the hitting. They should revert the hitting back and adjust the pitching and fielding.

So funny at how they did the same exact thing to last year's game 2 weeks after launch. I did not buy this game this year because they do the same thing every year. They start off good, then here come the patches. Too bad they suckered you all in! They won't get my money this year! I will wait until a new developer releases a baseball game sometime in the future. No way I'm letting this company get me out of 3000 dollars in a yr again!

I was not going to purchase a baseball game this year for the first time since yearly releases have been a thing. After the beta and the streams it looked like they had finally turned hitting into what it should be. Because of this I pre ordered the day before early release. After playing early access I realized this was the game I had been waiting for. All they needed for The Show 21 was a revamped pitching system and this game is a 10/10. What we got was another bait and switch. I have given up on this game by May the past few years because of this. If this is not reverted or fixed I am looking at hanging it up again early and definitely won’t be back next year. If I wanted the rng/sim heavily influencing gameplay, I will just go play Strat-o-matic or OOTP among the countless other sims out there. This game is not and should not try to be like those types of sims. Give the players control of user input!

19 isn’t a home run fest, especially after they patched it up ... 19 is pretty good actually
