Robin Roberts...

The shame of it is robin roberts was an absolute stud. We have Edward Cabrera out there dominating and he’s a future stars card. RR should be usable I. Ranked and its a shame he’s not.
-
I think he looks very useable.
I found all his moments easy. Done them all first try except one which was done second try.
Mind you, I occasionally use Whitey Ford. His ERA in about 8 games is about 2.30.
Not everyone has to have 102mph/outlier to make them useable.

All they had to do was juice his per 9/s a little bit too.

I just see the free XP, and a sig card. Of course less than 12 hours after I locked in for Mookie. Could have sold one of my sig cards and waited for this freebie.
It was on the schedule for today. You just got impatient and wanted Mookie a day early.

My biggest issue is again, legend pitchers get screwed so badly with the hits per nine, but future stars get inflated stats that they will most likely never reach. I personally have no issues with Edward Cabrera or Garret Crotchet (who will most likely be a lefty closer in his career) cards and getting young players excited about players who will be in the game for the next 10
Years, but what they did to Roberts. Oswalt, Jenkins, Mark Prior and other legend pitchers is silly. -

You're out of your mind lol. What makes him useable?? It has nothing to do without outlier...his attributes are atrocious. I forget if it's his K/9 or H/9 but one of them is in the 70s!! And the other isn't much better. He's just really, really bad.

I failed more Robin Roberts moments today than I have every other combined pitching moment going back to 19. Even against the CPU he is garbage. I was painting corners and he was still getting rocked. Unlocked him, got the free XP, and I will likely never look at his card again.
The first moment took me 5 tries, on the 4th try i hadn't given up a hit until the 9th but on a 0-2 count the last batter took me deep. Was glad to get it done on the 5th try.
-
These were all pretty easy for me. There were a couple that took a few tries, but I had them all knocked out in about a half hour to 45 minutes.
-
I just got the win with Lee… threw two strikes that were dots and the guy quit. Lmfaooo

...Is absolutely dreadful. What awful attributes. I was excited for a new sign series pitcher and this guy is a joke. What a waste of time.
They never do Roberts justice.
Absolute machine for some bad teams, except the '50 Pennant winner.
Top 5 pitcher in the 50's.
I just don't think his stuff translates well to a game. Reminds me of Jack Morris-- he just got hitters out consistently.
That being said, if he threw 97mph, Feller threw 250mph. -

I’m not sure. But with Ford/Prior/AJ Burnett who’s ERAs for me are all lower than 2.7 - maybe it’s the element of not being De Grom or Cabrera. I.e. if your opponent has never faced them (or rarely) they can’t time them. Remember Corbin Burnes? He was impossible to hit the first month…

Rob Rob looks like Ron Perlman in his card art on both cards, a lot on the first one
-
i thought these moments would be a breeze but they were a bit of a challenge. Got him and don't forget to turn him in for the program collection to get double xp.
-
Someone mentioned Jack Morris in this thread, he’s perfect example of a guy if you go by his actual numbers they don’t really tell his story, that’s why it took him forever to get into the the Hall… He was a guy do his team was up, he pitched to contact and made his opponents put the ball in play, but then if he had to be on point and win a nail bitter he’d bare down. His era was a little higher because of this approach, but it’s hard to reflect that in this game and he’ll probably have terrible hit per nines.
-
You just can’t use his fastball like at all. First moment I had to do like 5 times and I noticed every HR or hard hit ball was off his fastball. I didn’t use his fastball for the rest of the moments and I didn’t have to restart any lol. You just have to actually pitch with him and not spam pitches
