Wow, let me try to explain this again. If you can’t hit the pitch people will continue to throw it. If you show them you can hit it, they will either stop throwing it or quit. Then when you win a few games and start playing better players people will likely mix things up some more.

I'm a little scared to chime in here since everyone who has has been attacked....haha....but here I go. I think a case can be made for something being wrong with sinkers and what not, but like others have mentioned on here if you can't hit a particular pitch your opponent would be silly to lay off throwing that pitch. You are correct, you don't see MLB pitchers throw the sinker or any other pitch over and over and over again. The reason for that though is, MLB hitters would eventually tee off on that pitch. Even the worst hitter in baseball is still a good hitter and if they saw the same pitch repeatedly they would time it up and start hitting it. I never throw one pitch 100% off the time but I absolutely will throw a LOT of any given pitch if over the course of the game I realize my opponent struggles with it. That's baseball, and that's competition. Attacking your opponents weakness. Sinkers can be a pain in the rear to hit but I've played plenty of games where my opponent destroys them and I have to figure out other ways to go about trying to beat them. I've also played plenty of games where I know my opponent can't hit a fastball, sinker, slider, whatever the case may be, and absolutely I give them a steady dose of what they appear to struggle with.

@DeadPhish1976 i definitely feel you but people don’t even try like at all to figure out what pitch people can’t hit just immediately flood sinkers, there’s tons of people who can’t even hit fastball on good places I respect a good pitcher I don’t respect someone thinking they good cuz of an outta pocket sinker like come on

Fair enough, I can understand that. If someone is pounding their chest claiming their great and throwing sinkers 100% of the time I can see how it'd be frustrating. Best advice I can give would just be to work on hitting that sinker. If you're playing someone who is only throwing that pitch after you square a few up you'll start seeing something else. I'm not a very good hitter and thankfully I haven't run into someone throwing all sinkers in a game. If I did, I'd like to think I'd be able to look for it and time it up but who knows. My struggles aren't necessarily with one particular pitch but more so when I face someone who knows how to pitch. Mixing their pitches well and staying on the corners. Oh yeah, and 102 mph fastballs! haha
