As a weaker player myself, the obvious question then becomes why should I care? If SDS wants to nerf something and they can do it in a way that doesn't noticeably impact my game, they have my full support. Downgrade away, SDS!

No I was implying that the casual gamer most likely can't tell any differences. I explained it further in a later post in this thread.
Either way, my observation still applies. If a downgrade is made and I can't tell the difference then there's no reason for me to care. As long as I don't notice them, I encourage SDS to make as many upgrades as they want.
If a change manages to enrage the tiny minority of players who can actually feel it's effects ("casual gamers" likely make up a significant majority of the player base) and I get to amuse myself by reading some complaint posts, then that's just an added bonus.

Edit to add I prefer to play offline to avoid the [censored] that y’all complain about all the time lol but in my limited online experience I haven’t had many issues.
And here you are complaining about my complaint. I hear what you're saying though, there are many people who complain over anything and everything. But we are not all the same and not every complaint is unfounded. To throw everyone who complains at any given time about any given thing on a big pile and discredit them just for the concept of complaining is not right. I've been playing this game for many many years at a high level year in year out. I've spent so many hours into this franchise, I know what I'm talking about. Your reply discredits all of that in the snap of a finger, just because I'm complaining. I don't appreciate that and that's why I responded the way I did.
Not saying you are wrong or right about changes, I have no clue as I don't play online much and when I do I'm low ranks. That being said, you can't blame him or anyone else coming down on your "complaint" about changes. The amount of complaint threads on these forums are enormous and to the casual viewer, it can look like yours is another one.

I've been hitting 2-3 HR per game it seems. I'd say that the field is definitely big towards center, but still hitting a fair amount of bombs. Granted this is through 4 event games so far, so not the biggest sample size. I will say though that the game does seem to be lagging just a bit at this field. Doesn't seem as smooth.

You could just scroll along if it annoys you. Replying is a conscious decision and the only thing it achieves is to tell me that it's another complaint post which I'm obviously aware of. So what's the goal here exactly?

I can't say with certainty that there were or were not hitting changes in the patch. What I can say with much more certainty is that somebody claims that they have nerfed hitting in practically every patch they release.

This but I feel like I'm hitting with a newspaper the last few days. Hit one last night almost dead center with Dunn against a RHP. It was a routine fly ball 30 ft from the fence. Gets much harder to play the game when it is like this. Got off early the last few days.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but why don't you play h2h online? What is the fun in beating the cpu? Especially against live series teams?
Maybe it's the old competitor in me, but any accomplishment against the cpu is pretty dull for me. It's boring and predictable.
I want to compete against other players, despite the nightmare that is online h2h. -

Please don't take this the wrong way, but why don't you play h2h online? What is the fun in beating the cpu? Especially against live series teams?

I also enjoy a slower paced game and not one pitch flying in one after another and people using every exploit possible to win a game.

I’m MUCH happier just playing the computer, especially in The Show when I can get [censored] near all of the same rewards only playing offline. People = [censored]. Always have, always will.

Fair question and I actually really do enjoy playing online when the game is running well. I’m also a competitive dude and like when I get to play a real person. I guess my answer would be I don’t have a ton of time to play, so offline gives me the feeling I am being more efficient with my time. Married, 50+ hour a week job, and a baby on the way so I play weekends and maybe a weeknight or two. Would rather grind some conquest games than play maybe one or two online games that may or may not act right I guess.
