No I'm not quick pitching. People be pressing this [censored] button alllll game. I can understand the first time I bring out a pitcher you wanna check the pitches etc. After that? It's purposeful exploit.

You do realize it shows the location of all of the pitches you've thrown in that at-bat, right? It's not just about checking the pitch repertoire. It can be used to help see patterns in what you are throwing.
Do some people abuse it to slow down the game to a crawl even if you aren't quick pitching? Absolutely. However, R2 serves a purpose and it won't be going away any time soon.

Exactly. I rarely find people that do it. I do it when the other person slide steps constantly or is cheesing on offense. Mainly to tick them off since they ticked me off

Quick pitching is different from slide stepping. A slide step is what a pitcher does with a runner on base to have a quicker delivery. Quick pitching on the other hand is basically going to the plate as soon as the ball is back in the pitcher's glove.
There is a difference between a pitcher who works quick and who is quick pitching. In real life I prefer pitchers who work quick. My natural tendency in this game is to work quick, but I see sometimes it can turn into where the opponent feels I am quick pitching them. In this game there is just a very fine line between working quick and quick pitching. If they R2 me and haven't from the onset of the game, I will check myself and make sure I am not quick pitching and I will adjust...because I am not trying to quick pitch them. However 90% of the time I am sunk at that point and the opponent will R2 the remainder of the game no matter what my pace is.

When they do that I pretty much throw it it the dirt if they are swinging a lot. I try to hit the corners I don't usually throw way outside the zone even if they swing at everything

I haven't seen quick pitching in over a month. I HAVE seen R2 babies galore.
I used to say R2 away since there were so many quick pitch a-holes, but it's flipped for sure.

They can wait though some pitchers u can see when they select a pitch and will hold r2 when you are trying to place the ball

Just step off every time they hold R2. Eventually they get the point.

I guarantee nobody use R2 for nothing other than being toxic. I see everything and if u need a break pause the game. This community full of lames

It doesn’t take every pitch but it takes more than one time.. for me at least. It’s there, so I use it and it shows you alot. It shows you: pitchers energy, pitchers confidence overall, pitchers repertoire, the last AB/pitches of current AB (which lets you see patterns or even tunneling), what pitches are most to least used in the repertoire (not a big deal but still nice SDS does it), it shows the speed per pitch, and also the confidence per pitch. Might’ve missed something but that’s what it shows. Video game or not, it’s an edge and I’m using it.
