PSN should allow game reviews

They only allow stars. Which is nothing informative.
I would give The Show 3 stars, but explain what the buyer would be getting into. Would give a glowing review about the animation, but reduce 2 stars because that's all it is. Pure animation that typically disregards controller input in order to create AI outcomes.
There is a huge reason PSN does not allow reviews. Truth is often told. Stars do not depict the human experience. They should. It's only fair.
All we get every year is marketing hype and paid "game reviewers" that never mention The Show is not for those looking for a true MLB simulation. They never mention the terrible lag that effects everyone and turns DD games into a choppy unpredictable mess.
Disgruntled customers, the ones that actually have a stake in the game, should be allowed to sound off.

Many times mon ami. And you get the entire SDS staff telling you the game is fine..you suck, you ain't doing it right, you need a new monitor, you need a new internet.
A forum controlled by the company that manufactures the game and run by the staff isn't the greatest place to get your reviews across...unless they are positive.

You have every social media platform in existence to sound off and give your opinion. In the process, you’ll reach alot more people than on this forum.
So much easier now to give your 2 cents. Way back when I was a kid, if I wanted to complain to the masses about not being able to kill a duck on level 12 of Duck Hunt, I had to write a letter by hand, buy envelopes and stamps and wait forever

I LOL'd
I kinda miss the duck hunt type of games. There's great beauty in simplicity.

And there used to be a Nintendo hot-line (land-line) that for $1.99 per minutes would give you hints and tips for Legend of Zelda. That's all you had.
But I'm talking the big platforms should allow for online customer reviews of the games they sell. If you buy from Amazon/Best Buy/etc you can leave detailed reviews. I think that's great, and the only impartial (cumulatively) way to get the experienced word out for people considering a buy.

Ok, so… why don’t you just read the review on Amazon or Best Buy or etc? I’m not sure I’m seeing what you’re upset about tbh. Your post is gloopy with irony and I’m not sure you realize it.

Well, dude, I did not buy the game from Amazon. Unless you're a certified purchaser of any product your review blows at best. However, I did buy from PSN. Would love to get a shot at educating perspective buyers on all games. Not just this AI animation generating - with little interest in controller input - frustrating - intelligence insulting - often complete train-wreck. I would love to review all games I have to drop $60-100 for. I think that opportunity should be available. It's a prolific (this means it's everywhere) method to influence the customer base.
It's everywhere besides PSN. I believe Microsoft used to allow reviews on Xbox, but they may not anymore? Does anyone know?

It's like this..I've become so jaded by the artificial elements in most all online sports gaming platforms, I would never buy into another one that I saw a pattern of unhappy customers emphasizing the randomized/DGDB game play.
I can guarantee you ever customer that has posted angst and frustration about the experience with this game..would be more than happy..chomping at the bit in fact..to spend an hour or so leaving a heartfelt review. Share the negative experiences on a neutral and far-reaching stage like PSN or Microsoft.
You know how many products I've avoided on Amazon because of key points in reviews? At least 50%. Give all us gamers a chance to educate the perspective buyers on the very platform that's selling it. Again, this should have been implemented years ago.
Any company that's worth a flying fruck should have enough confidence in their product to let the customers that paid for the product to give their opinions. But, there is a lot of fear from PSN in opening that Pandora's Box. Wouldn't be a good biz decision.

And the same people that will use that platform to whine and complain will be back again next year and the year after that and the year after that and so on to do the exact same thing on that platform. Maybe they can make it where if you say you are never going to buy the game next year, they should charge you an additional fee for buying the game the next year and call it a “habitual whiner” fee.

You have way more faith in humanity than I do, I would bet that most players who feel the angst would rather write something like "LOL this sucks" rather than some hour long well-written review.
Now don't take that as a defense of no reviews, I do think PSN should allow reviews.

I wish. People deserve to know how great this game is. Best baseball game of all time...... Review rating GOAT
-
A simple google search will get you reviews
-
You can offer and check out user reviews on Metacritic. The same place that FIFA21 got a 1.8 (out of 10) user rating on PS, and a 1.1 user rating on XBOX.

Again, you can't trust the paid commercial reviews. Everyone knows that.
I trust folks, just like the ones in this forum that have shared things I've seen and experienced countless times, that have purchased the game and regret it.
There is no greater source than those customers that have paid for and played any game. Those that don't have an agenda to be anything but honest.
-
Bro… seriously.
-
When the game works its alot fun, But sadly it only works in about 5-10% of total ranked games.
