You’re trying to tell me that Showdown is on Veteran??
-
I’ve been playing The Show since 17, and I know what the difficulty levels feel like against the CPU. Showdown (at least the NL East) is on HOF, possibly Legend.
-
I haven't done the NL East but I've beaten the AL West, AL East and NL West about 8 times each, it's definitely on veteran and all star.

You beat Cole how many times? Lol it took me 8 try’s. I can beat everyone else with no problem

I still haven't gotten past Charlie Morton over there in the AL East. I've done the AL Central twice though. For some reason Walter Johnson is easy mode

Only 7 actually 3x for Gleyber, 2x for Snell, 2 more times to get prospects for the collection

Walter Johnson is easy mode because you get 20 outs to do it in

Then I get nightmare mode facing Michael Kopech, who has a 102 fastball and a 77 curveball

The boss is on all star, the rest is veteran. The difference is how accurate and precise pitchers are on veteran. Very hard to stay patient with those slow pitch speeds
-
They also reduced the rewards in showdown, the two bosses before the showdown boss used to give 700 stubs now they give 500. the first mini boss used to give a show pack now it's a silver card. for a limited time they used to give 6 vouchers now they're back down to 5.
-
Key to the showdown is play through it all, build up as many runs as possible. Also take until 2 strikes. I beat the al wear and al East in back to back runs to get gleyber and gallo
-
I suck, I know I suck. Just the casual player here. I've given up on the Showdowns. got through the starter one but i'm not even going to beat the 1st inning one and my stubs are too valuable to spend 1000 on the division ones right now to not make it back in the rewards. it's just a loss. Not getting the 70 points on 1st Inning is going to hurt, hopefully there will be another way to get them. Some of those just aren't possible for an avg. player

Dude check the AL Central the missions are on hall of fame , all stars they made it harder now idk why

Can someone explain how showdown works in relation to getting the TA diamond players like Gleyber?

You should definitely get TA Gleyber. This card plays like a 96+ card, it’s amazing.
So, to get 20 points towards him, you would complete the AL East Showdown. That will give you 5 vouchers that you can exchange through the Missions section of Team Affinity for the Yankees.
-
I’ve done the 1st Inning, NL Central, AL Central, and AL West twice, in between playing conquest. There’s definitely no difference in showdown difficulty compared to conquest difficulty.

Excellent, thank you! Didn’t realize that’s how it works.
