Why is Mike Schmidt so expensive?

Just curious and being that I’m new to the game I can’t understand why a 92 card is selling for over 200k at this point in the game. Thanks!

He was a first season BR card, meaning you can no longer get him through those means.

Pretty sure he was a BR program in the 1st season, i think if u finish the program you can't pick him anymore. Not to sure about other cards maybe season 2 wont be obtainable after this next update

He was a season 1 BR card, and he is no longer available. Also he was the worst choice of the 5 (Lou Brock, Vlad Sr., Billy Wagner, and Tom Seaver were the other choices), meaning he likely has the lowest supply of any of them

All of these BR cards are starting to creep up. A lot of people try to collect every card and thus you get a scarcity issue eventually. TA3 gave people a lot of stubs and so you are seeing some start to collect. Still holding onto my extra Seaver (have 2), 2 extra Brett’s (2nd BR program) and 3 extra Story’s (he goes away today) as eventually these will be a lot of stubs..

You are completely correct except for the fact that story goes away today. It's Brett and Anderson that leave the pack today

I paid 230k for him a couple of days ago so that I would have every card. Had to suck it up a bit, lol. I learned a lot my first year playing last year. Will remember this for next years game!

My bad. Thought it was just the 2 latest groups but you’re right. Still holding onto an unopened BR pack from the last season (bought both before I earned it) and guess was hoping Story would go away

You are completely correct except for the fact that story goes away today. It's Brett and Anderson that leave the pack today
Glad I bought Brett for 28k last week. I am sure they put all these guys back in the pack at the end of the year.

Yeah I'm guessing everyone will be available in a pack at the end of the year. If not we end up in the same situation that the BR program and RS cumulative wins was designed to destroy(million stub waitlists)

Yeah that was the worst last year, I remember waiting like 2 and a half weeks to get Pujols.
