Jarred Kelenic has been in the Mariners collection even though he was sent down to the minors.

As long as Jarred is part of the 40 man roster, he’ll remain part of the team collection. However, that’s not to say the teams aren’t all screwed up. Phils took Kingery off 40 man a month or so ago, and now he’s out for the season with surgery, but they still have him as part of the 40 man and collection.

It should be simple. If they are on the current 40-man, then they are on the roster. If they’re on the 60-day IL, they get moved to free agents because then they’re not on the 40-man and someone else takes their place (and should take their spot on the team’s 40 in The Show.
But we all know it’s not easy for SDS. They manipulate if they want or don’t bother to make some changes.

Of course. A guy like Kluber is easy to move from the roster to FA pool because he’s not a gate keeper, but Mike Trout sure hasn’t been moved to the FA pool even tho he’s on the 60 man since he’s basically the gatekeeper for the entire AL collection, one of the reasons people buy stubs. Same with Acuna or deGrom in the NL.

When was the last time Chris Sale played? They arent going to put diamonds that are needed for collections into the free agent pool for injuries. That's just how it is.
The other ones like silvers and bronzes, I have no idea why they wouldnt swap them out in a timely manner, other than oversight.

As well as he is playing it is easy to forget he is actually in the show.

It's got more to do with who else is on the 40 man roster. If there's a bunch of rookies who haven't made their major league debuts yet, they'll leave them off the Live Series in favor of 60 Day IL vets.
