You don’t.
Sucks, right?

Only in offline modes, you can sub him into the OF after game starts

I would appreciate hearing an explanation from SDS on this particular issue. It's been brought up countless times, and it's an appropriate question considering their marketing for the game and its "two way players".
-
Is there any particular reason you’re not able to put starting pitchers in the field or pinch hit with them? Is there an official mlb rule? It’s not like people playing DD would have any kind of advantage if they wanted to put a pitcher in as a position player, except for an Ohtani and maybe a Bartolo Colon, of course.

Yeah this is one of the issues that SDS never acknowledges lol. The rest of us kinda have just gone "haha k", when it comes to this matter.
-
I have seen so many people day they can't use him as a position player, I've never had that problem. Right now for TA 3 he is my LF even when I start the games...
-
This is a bad deal!

The same happens with Babe Ruth. Either SDS is unable to make a card actually a two way player (doubtful), or they do not want to. I have no interest in collecting a half-baked Otani even knowing that he will likely be part of a future collection.
