99 Freddy Peralta reviews?

I think a lot of people overlooked this card and went straight to Vlad Jr. and I think this Peralta could end up being one of the best right-handed SPs in the game -- but I could be missing something.
I'd love to hear what some of you guys think of him if you've used him a little bit since he dropped. I'm strongly considering locking him in as I love his delivery and his stuff seems just straight up nasty.

Curious to, he does look really good on paper

On paper he looks really good, but I'm hearing bad feedback about the card's performance.

I'm an impulsive idiot. I just sold James Paxton and dropped 195K on Peralta.
What makes this move bad for me is the fact that I bought Mancini's HR Derby card and locked it in for the Ohtani collection. I really wish I would've just went with Peralta as my final lock-in instead as that Mancini card does absolutely nothing for me at the plate. Literally a 100K Stub sink that I won't ever use.
-
I don't think he's that special. Not enough velocity and his delivery is quite easy to pick up on. All his offspeed is pretty much the same velocity. Not worth the price tag imo.

I honestly wish I did what you did just to not have freddie locked in, but then again I got ohtani before acuna which was essentially 200k wasted

As an older guy with a .500 record in RS who can pitch really well but can't hit...
...velocity is KING until you get into the 800's-900's.

Brother? You just described me...

Yeah, Peralta was as mistake. Not a top pitcher. Pretty on paper, yet Vlad crushes everything. Everything Vlad hits, is hit hard. There are many different pitcher options, yet only one Vlad.

It's not an either or thing though, atleast not in this case, he's not talking about picking one or the other from a pack. So Vlad being good isn't very relevant.

on lower difs its easy to hit him but higher with a smaller pci hes good at locating imo

Yeah, I think the whole choice between him and Vlad Jr. as the Rare round in the pack will obviously make most players heavily scrutinize Peralta -- but I think if you can just get past his price-tag and look at the card in a vacuum, he could end up being one of the most underrated SPs in the game right now.
I'm definitely going to be using him a lot over the next few weeks to see if I'm right. All I know is that in a small sample size, he has me super impressed.

He gets lit up in the event but its all star. He doesn't throw hard enough in my opinion. Hopefully its a different story in RS.

There is some value to using a pitcher people don’t see every other game regardless of if they have the absolute best stuff.

Go to the All-Star Player Program and you can sample him in moments… he seems very viable for a long time.

Moments are the worst place to rate and try new players. The sliders in moments are botched.
