The best possible team right now in my opinion

Well said Raes. Hard to argue any of those choices!
-
If you don’t play RS do you really use those pitchers much? Cliff Lee is easily my favourite I could never pick a SP before him right now.
-
Switch hitters are the move can’t go wrong with them 99 Mantle is day 1 on my team when he comes out . with how many good lefty arms there are in the game having more than 1 Lefty only bat can be a liability unless you are a god Lefty vs lefty but I mean who is lol ? Cutter ,sinker ,slider lefty vs lefty good luck with that .

Well I play friendlies almost daily, because some of my buddies do grind RS like madmen and they like to warm up against a player like me on legend to prepare for their games. So I use them for sure.

I like Britton or Soto over Franco as a lefty in the pen. Other then that I pretty much agree. Good stuff.

Right Field: 99 Ronald Acuña Jr.
With Acuña's injury, this will probably be the best version we will see this year. And he does not disappoint. At parallel 5, this card will have 120+ power against both sides with 99 speed and 99 arm in a RF primary position. That's insane. The fielding does not go up to 90 so he will have a gold fielding badge at best, but I think he is still gonna be worth using over any other outfielder who does have diamond fielding. His reaction and speed are gonna make up for it. Also, this card has the active quirks just like his LS card, which I value a lot.I looked at the Acuna and compared him to Soriano. They are almost exactly the same in attributes at RF, but Soriano gets the Diamond badge. Was he a consideration for you? I know a lot of people hate his swing.

With all the new content that has dropped over the past few days, I felt like sharing what I believe to be the best team in DD right now. I'll mention a few pros/cons per player and also a few honorable mentions down below.
Small disclaimer before someone checks out my record to decide whether how much weight they wanna attribute to my opinion (weird phenomenon, but that's how people roll and I get it): my record is 0-0 so save yourself some time. I'm solely dedicated to BR until I move to the US later this year, where I'll once again pick up my RS game. I do play friendlies on legend almost daily, so I know how the game plays online above all-star difficulty. Most who have been around here for a while know that I'm a skilled and experienced player, so that's that.
Also, these are just my opinions. If you disagree or prefer a different player that's totally fine. I would always advise anyone to use a player you perform well with instead of a player someone else recommended.
With that out of the way, here we go:
Catcher: 98 J.T. Realmuto (not the TA3 card, but the one from the AS pack)
A lot of people will probably have Kyle Schwarber here, which is understandable based on the offensive attributes. Schwarber has the better bat. The Catcher Pop Time quirk is a game changer to me though, because you will shut down any run or speed cheese game with Realmuto behind the dish. His offensive attributes are also very balanced and his swing is fantastic. To me he is the most balanced catcher in the game right now.First Base: 99 Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
I was a little on the fence when this card dropped because I struggled a bit with his swing. When you get it down, I think this card outperforms every other first baseman in the game. He has the splits you want to have (better against righties, still elite against lefties), he has active quirks like "breaking ball hitter" and his defense goes up to gold at parallel 5. Which is insane to me. Big Papi is still a close second, but I think Vlad Jr. is the better player. You can also play him at 3B, which is nice.Second Base: 99 Jackie Robinson
I usually strongly dislike Jackie cards in this game, mostly because of his lack of power and his swing. This Jackie has everything you want, at parallel 5 his power numbers are 85/89 which is insane for a Jackie Robinson card. His high contact and speed make him the best lead off hitter in the game and he has diamond defense meaning he'll have elite range in the field. Not much to dislike about the card.Third Base: 99 Chipper Jones
This pick probably surprises no one. I'm always a huge fan of Chipper cards (traded in my Joe Random for Chipper in MLBTS 17) and like Jackie, this is the best version of Chipper Jones we've ever seen. Switch hitting lefty killer with some wheels, gold defense at parallel 5 AND positional flexibility (he can play shortstop) make him the best card in the game imo. I can't think of a single thing I don't like about this card, but if I had to pick something I'd say his contact against righties could've been a bit higher. But 108 at parallel 5 is obviously plenty.Shortstop: 96 Trevor Story
I used to play my CAP here, but I picked Story out of one of my flawless packs and decided to try him out for fun. He has become one of my favorite cards to use with also one of the best swings I've seen. He plays well above his attributes and his defense is godlike, he runs down pretty much everything. At parralal 5 he has 92 speed with 99 fielding and 99 reaction, along with 97 arm strength. This is basically a power hitting Ozzie Smith or Omar Vizquel minus the switch hitting. His vision is a little low, so he will have a small PCI on HOF and Legend difficulty.Left Field: 96 Mike Trout
I mean, it's Mike Trout. I put him in LF but you can play him anywhere, as long as he's on the field. Can't wait for a flashback Mike Trout, who will be one of my 3 endgame outfielders for sure.Center Field: 96 Jasson Dominguez
This card is so much fun. His speed and defense practically makes this card a switch hitting Byron Buxton, but with a better swing imo. This card also plays well above his attributes, everything seems to be hit hard. The only knack I have is that he is kind of short and I caught myself chasing some fastballs above the zone because they look so good that I forget about his height. Despite that, he's the best CF in the game right now in my opinion.Right Field: 99 Ronald Acuña Jr.
With Acuña's injury, this will probably be the best version we will see this year. And he does not disappoint. His reaction and speed are gonna make up for it. Also, this card has the active quirks just like his LS card, which I value a lot.Honorable mentions:
98 Trea Turner
If this card had gold defense, he would be my starting CF or 2B. Insane swing, insane speed, great hitting attributes. Probably the best budget card in the game.97 Yoenis Cespedes
I used this card a bit for fun and to mix it up a little. And he surprised me, he literally hits everything hard. I bat .519 with him while slugging 1.221 in just under 80 plate appearances mostly on legend and some on HOF. His lack of defense would prevent me from using him on my God squad, but he is an offensive juggernaut.99 Prince Fielder
If you're looking for a lefty power bat at 1B, this is your guy. He's practically free if you complete the whole TA3 program and to me he in the same tier as Vlad Jr. and Big Papi.97 Eduardo Escobar
Many people will sleep on this card, but especially in the lower ranks like All-Star difficulty, this card will perform fantastic. A switch hitter with a great swing and more than serviceable hitting attributes who can play anywhere but CF makes him the perfect utility player on the bench.Starting Rotation
Note: I won't go into too much detail here, it's personal preference more than anything.- 99 Jacob DeGrom
- 99 Shohei Ohtani
- 97 Al Leiter
- 94 Edward Cabrera
- 96 Tom Glavine / 99 Freddy Peralta

I would agree with nearly all of this except I’d take Olson over vlad at first. I’ve never used Olson much other than br before this but there is something about his swing that just seems to cover the plater better than any lefty I’ve used. He hits everything hard vs lefties and righties. Also I was pleasantly surprised by realmuto. Hitting everything hard and just fun to hit with.
-
Looks a lot like my lineup and rotation, except I’m tryung Trea at 2B and Murray at 1st.

Very vaible and top tier choices.

My eyes light up everytime I see Degrom. Because fastball looks like a fastball out of the hand and I don’t have problem hitting 102… if my opponent becomes predictable mixing the slider and changeup then it’s a field day for me

Acuna has a better swing for most and live series quirks.

Too bad I'll never get 99 Acuna because I'm an idiot and picked two Escobars out of my TA3 pack. Their horrible programming skills… wow
Yep, they shouldn't make it for the cards to be selected if you already own them know that you have to have all TA cards to get Acuna, Jackie or any other collection. Seems like an easy fix on their part but there's so much wrong with this game this likely isn't on the priority list.
Look, I talked trash about people that selected the same card too but we're human and mistakes happen. I still can't believe I did it. This is a big oversight on SDS's part and they simply need to correct it. I admitted I screwed up because I was literally falling asleep playing the game. If I don't get Acuna, whatever, I have a god squad anyways, but I still want to collect him after putting in 20 hours of play time to get him.
