Depends which market your talking about. Certain cards(space packs) won't. Headliners might not either.

For the first time in the years that I have been playing this game I can afford Trout. Not sure I want to spend my entire bankroll on a single card though.

Are you going to complete the LS collections? If so then do it. If not there are free cards in ta3 that are comparable the trouts LS that won't break the bank.
Which is kinda insane. Everyone is going to have a 99 rated team in a couple weeks. Note to self, next year never spend earned stubs on new cards, they will eventually be given away to everyone for next to nothing.

My best guess is people are selling off to get the hrd packs. That will probably continue with the allstar packs. Maybe a rebound after that, but who knows.

Nah, I only play offline so I don't feel the need to complete the live collection.
It's not that feel a desperate need for Trout, but there is a little bit of a draw to getting a card that I was never able to get before.

Well then buy him. His price will probably go up again and you can vet your stubs back of you don't like him. I don't hit well with him online. Buy offline I destroy

The more people buy him and lock him in the less they'll be... more than likely it'll go up again

Market might not “recover” until the big collection likely in another week or 2 (not announced yet). I’m personally stockpiling but there is always risk which is what makes it fun.

All these legends/flashbacks will soar in price with next big collection.

I grabbed the remaining two previous inning bosses for 27k and 30k.
With the extra 20k stubs for collection, 37k seems reasonable for a pair of decent bench bats and 50k xp.

all day - I've grabbed Kyle Seager for 31k and Reggie Jackson for 12k today
