I can not for the life of me beat Showdown and conquest I have been having trouble with. Should I run through a MTO as 1 of the AL Central teams? Or is there a better method. I have been doing the player missions from the packs along the way but I think I will still come up short. Is there a better method and if not how many points should I realistically expect for an MTO run on beginner and how long does an MTO run take?

Load your lineup with AL central players and play a few 9 inning games. I’d rather do that than play showdown. I throw in a few guys I want to parallel just to have something else I’m working towards too.

    The innings mission is repeatable.

stack lineup with all AL central and play a vs cpu game.. when TA2 came out, TA1 got LOT easier because they doubled the points for everything.

I would force myself to get better at showdown. I always want to compete showdown in five minutes but when I realize I have to take pitches and be selective about what I swing at, it becomes a lot easier.

It also made me better at online play, not that I’m good.

If you're really struggling with conquest, you could always just keep grinding until you have enough fans to attack a stronghold on rookie. Most of my points for completing TA came from loading up my team with nothing but the player rewards and completing stat missions as I worked on the maps.

For showdown I have no advice to give. I'm so terrible at those stupid things that I rarely even attempt them anymore.

Like everyone said if you are working on AL Central or whatever division. Stack your line up with those players from that division and grind away on VS CPU (Rookie at Colorado away). Pitcher has be Kyle Freeland who is a lefty. So if you have right handed batters stack them up and enjoy the HRS!
Every now and then I'll play ranked which I'm terrible at but you get points for online play and non online.
When playing Conquest or CPU. Always pick to play against the 5th pitcher in the rotation. He'll normally be a bronze or silver.
Check this guy out on YouTube. He does a good job on how to complete conquests.

I'm not very good either but can do the showdowns- you probably just need to be more patient and shrink your zone. Keep trying and you'll be getting good practice in the meantime.
