You only focus on the negative things I say. There are many things about the game that entertain and I've said it.
Here is the thing though...this forum, very obviously, doesn't need more posts singing the praises of the game or the latest card/event/drop/etc. Those are the repetitious and, likely, marketed posts to drive awareness and promote different elements of the game. Perfectly placed on a forum.
So, I go a little darker with my posts. I'm just trying to swing the game to what I consider a better experience. That from pointing out things I believe are wrong or could be made better. Sure shouldn't blame a paying customer for that should ya?
Can't help the sarcasm or cynicism at times. It's how I'm wired and, my belief, it's spices up the posts.

I don’t like the high rated cards either. Wish it was a slower pace to get up to 99s, if we ever reached them at all. Fifa has a better model in my opinion, you don’t see 95+ until the very end of the cycle.

In 5 years of FIFA, I'm pretty sure the best I ever landed was a 93 Messi (in a pack). Last year I topped out at 90 Mbappe.
When I would get ANY Walk-Out I was taking pictures of my TV screen I was so excited.
I believe FIFA's model is much better. More engrossing and really makes you appreciate those higher-level card drops.
I'm pulling diamonds in packs regularly now. Every event spawns another diamond. IMO it just completely devalues the cards.
Believe The Show's model is more designed for the Youth Soccer League mentality. Everyone gets a fair share and trophies for just being there. Nothing wrong with that mind you, just not for me.
In FIFA, you really have to earn those great cards. Most ppl will never land an ICON card in FUT. Only the best.

I mean the whole not liking the number of high rated cards is a matter of opinion, I don't think one is definitely better far and away. I won't try to change your mind on that but the condescending tone is rather unneeded.

If that one is meant for me..I guess it was condescending. Will try to keep that out of my tone. But, that fact do remain, the best cards in this game are way too easily attainable. And by best..I mean highest numerical rating.
I really don't know the significance of "best" anything in this game. And that's not condescending..I just can't quite figure out what the benchmark really is.

Bruh it's over halfway thru the season and there's like 300 more 99s to come... Be happy you don't have to face 99 kersh from day one

No, it’s because people like you and OP should move on if you hate the game that much. It’s not perfect, but the game can’t cater to every player’s specific expectations. I let go of Madden years ago and I’m not missing it.

Ha..thanks for the words of encouragement. No, my critics only fuel the fire in my eternal quest to make this game better. By better, I mean "At the end of the day, something we can all be satisfied with ain't obviously manipulating our DD games".
Manipulation and DDA (this acronym always gets a rise from the "others") are a necessary part of sports games..but the developers gotta figure out a way to not make it so obvious. Makes the fan base upset.
Oh yeah, for the umpteenth time, let's make those high diamonds a lot less frequent and attainable. Right now they got about as much value as boobs on a boar hog.

I also left Madden in my rear view mirror. I know EA games are a money-pit and they ain't going to change anything that detracts from their loot-box mentality.
I believe the good folks and decision-makers at SDS/Sony ain't quite so greedy. I believe their mission is to make the game as enjoyable for their fans as possible, without constantly getting into their wallets. I respect this.
So, when I'm loyal to a game I will stick around until the bitter end to try to change it for the better. I still believe there is hope for The Show. I'm not ready to pull the plug quite yet.

I seriously doubt you never packed a TOTS or high special card in 5 years. They have full teams for each league over long stretches, with tons of pack offers during those promos.
I just started playing FIFA 21 around 2 weeks ago after I noticed it was free on EA Play. They gave out a 93 Belotti, and a 93 Gosens just for completing some objectives during that time. I have a 90 rated team in just 2 weeks with 2 players in my starting 11 rated 80 or below. It's not that hard to get high rated players in FIFA. You talk about not getting Icons, they currently have a 92+ guaranteed Icon SBC right now.

Actually I know exactly what I'm talking about. You obviously don't. And that's ok to be ignorant..how would you know what I'm about to explain? Ignorance is fine..stupid is not. So far you've only demonstrated ignorance.
I am a FIFA first responder. Will purchase the FIFA Ultimate Edition as soon as it goes on sale (typically there are promos for early purchase). The game will come out in September and by buying the Ultimate Edition I'll get 3 days of early play. I dig it.
I'll typically grind hard for the first few weeks. You've only got 2 ways to advance your rosters.."grind currency" or real-life bucks. Good cards are very expensive on the auctions. Packs are very fickle and seldom award you anything special...feel very lucky when they do.
I've actually been known to drop $50 or so to get cards I want. Not just me, last year EA revenues in FUT alone were nearly $1.5 billion. Most of it gained during the first 3 months of the season.
As the pack promos start becoming sillier and more expensive, both grind-time and cash, I'll begin to reduce my playing time. Not to mention after a couple months (sometimes 3) of hard grinding I've gotten my share of fun, and burn out starts to seep in. At this point, only the incredibly lucky or those willing to dig deep into their wallets have cards better than 90.
What goes on in the next couple months I'm typically not around to see. But eventually, and I know this from dropping into the forum from time to time, the prices begin to plummet and anyone can set themselves up with outlandish cards.
You dude, with the very limited point of reference, are coming in nearly a year after the game is released. I'm sure they're giving away the farm just to keep ppl like you interested.
During the peak interest time of FIFA..you ain't getting what you just mentioned. Right now you are in the after-thought..let's just try to pull in some customers period of the game.
Hope you enjoy playing with the 20% or so that are left that actually paid $99 to get the game early.
It's really fun when you first start playing. I would recommend you get in early next year though. It's not such a ghost-town.
