Two points

1. He is not a 99 hitter nor a 99 Pitcher and, as of right now, in the game, you are either one or the other.

2. I have little doubt that we will see a 99 Ohtani card before all is said and done, but SDS likes to save these cards for things like the Finest series or maybe he gets a signature series later. It will be an extremely coveted card when it does come.
